MPAC presents The Wood Brothers

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- On Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 7:30pm, Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents The Wood Brothers.  They are a roots music trio featuring brothers Chris (originally of Medeski, Martin & Wood) and Oliver Wood, along with multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix, bring a distinctive flair to their union of folk, blues, gospel, and jazz, as evidenced in their most recent release, Kingdom in My Mind.



Paper Mill Playhouse's Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory presents "A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken"

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse has selected students to be a part of the theater’s prestigious Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory for 2022. Members of the competitive Conservatory who earned coveted spots in the Senior (ages 15-18), Junior Plus (ages 13-14), and Junior companies (ages 10-12) are directed and choreographed by Paper Mill Playhouse’s professional artistic staff in a fully produced, original concert titled A Whole New World: A Tribute to Alan Menken. 








Jacob Ari Labendz named Director of Gross Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Ramapo College

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- Ramapo College of New Jersey has named Jacob Ari Labendz as director of the Gross Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Dr. Labendz, a New Jersey native, is a scholar of Jewish history and culture with a research focus on Jews in and from Central Europe in the twentieth century. He contributes actively to discussions around nationalism and diaspora, the state management of Jewish minorities, antisemitism, and Jewish food cultures.



mignolo arts Opens Applications for new Multi-Disciplinary Artist Residency Program

(METUCHEN, NJ) -- mignolo arts is a 501-c3 nonprofit interdisciplinary arts organization dedicated to forging connections across artistic disciplines. mignolo arts operates out of mignolo arts center, a state of the art, 28x40 foot ADA approved rehearsal studio, gallery, and performance space in Metuchen, NJ. Applications are open for their new Multi-Disciplinary Artist Residency Program. Applications are due by August 19, 2022 at 11:59pm.



Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents Lucille Rielly's "People and Places" throughout August

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents “People and Places,” an exhibit by award-winning photographer Lucille Rielly, throughout the month of August. The display, which will occupy the 2nd Floor Gallery, consists of color and monochrome candid photos, and will demonstrate her implementation of Photoshop software.

Tickets for Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes Now on Sale

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) have placed tickets for America’s #1 holiday show, the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes,  on sale now. The production will run from November 18, 2022 through January 2, 2023 at Radio City Music Hall. MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The 52nd Newark Black Film Festival takes place Wednesday from July 8 through August 5, 2026 at The Newark Museum of Art. There is a mix of films for adults and films for the entire family. Admission to the screenings is free, but reservations are required.
