August Events at Morven Museum & Garden

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- There are a number of exciting historical events taking place at Morven Museum & Garden this August. On Thursday, August 4 at 6:30pm, join Monmouth University Professor and former US Army Fort Monmouth Command Historian Melissa Ziobro for a talk on the “Hello Girls,” who were women employed by the US Army Signal Corps as telephone switchboard operators during WWI.



State of the Arts program Focuses on Nai-Ni Chen

The internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Nai-Ni Chen died tragically in a swimming accident late in 2021. In this week's special program, State of the Arts takes a touching look back at the life and artistry of one of New Jersey's most revered artists.



Phoenix Productions, the Basie Center’s community theatre company, receives 9 Perry Award nominations

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Phoenix Productions, the Count Basie Center for the Arts’ community theatre company, has received nine nominations in the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT)’s annual Perry Awards, the program honoring excellence amongst 80+ of the state’s community theatre companies.








BCC's Gallery Bergen presents "PULSE: Resonating Earth"

(PARAMUS, NJ) -- Bergen Community College’s Gallery Bergen announces its fall exhibition PULSE: Resonating Earth featuring an installation by Poramit Thantapalit with performance art by Art of Motion Dance Theatre and music by pianist Carolyn Enger. The exhibition runs from September 22 through December 8, 2022. It was curated by Tim Blunk for Gallery Bergen.



The Newton Theatre presents Melvin Seals & JGB

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents Melvin Seals & JGB on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 8:00pm. JGB is an American rock band led by Melvin Seals. Its mission is to continue the musical legacy of the Jerry Garcia Band, of which Seals was a longtime member. As noted in Rolling Stone, ... when Garcia died in 1995, and the Grateful Dead went on hiatus, Seals took charge. Under his leadership, the slightly renamed 'JGB Band' pays tribute to Garcia by performing his songs and remaining faithful to his style.



NJPAC presents Boyz II Men

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Grammy Award-winning iconic group Boyz II Men on Saturday, November 26 at 8:00pm. See Boyz II Men perform their most-loved hits, including “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You,” and “On Bended Knee” with the Orchestra.



The Vogel presents comedian Chris Covert

(RED BANK, NJ) -- On Friday, October 21 at 8:00pm, The Vogel presents comedian Chris Covert. He began his joke journey at the young age of 15 in his home state of New Jersey.  Since then, a few hundred shows in many states over many miles, his journey continues. Chris incorporates his musical talents into his comedy act with an ensemble of both original and parody songs that are sure to put a smile on your face! You just can't help but sing along!



Trey Anastasio to Play Two Shows at Beacon Theatre

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Trey Anastasio will play two acoustic performances at the Beacon Theatre on August 19 & 20, 2022. With these shows, Anastasio will be the first artist to utilize the venue’s groundbreaking new sound system – Sphere Immersive Sound. This is the world’s most advanced concert audio system, and was developed for MSG Sphere at The Venetian, which is scheduled to open in Las Vegas in the second half of 2023.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
