Lizzie Rose Music Room is Running a GoFundMe Campaign Seeking Funding to Reopen It's Doors After Two Years of Outdoor Shows

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Since 2014 the Non Profit, volunteer run Lizzie Rose Music Room has been providing its audiences and the music community with a very special, curated selection of artists performing in an intimate setting. The 70 seat room is housed in an historic Victorian era mansion “down the shore”, 30 minutes north of Atlantic City in Tuckerton, NJ. Much like Preservation Hall in New Orleans the focus is music and only music, there is no bar to wait 6 people deep at or food for purchase.



ArtsBergen to Present Public Art Programs in Fall Celebration at Hackensack's SACKtoberfest

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- This fall, a range of public art programming will be featured at SACKtoberfest in Hackensack.  This fun-filled festival of art, food, brew, and live music returns to Hackensack, on October 15 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Atlantic Street Park.  The festivities, organized by The Sack Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack, are free and open to the public.

Just steps away from the Adriatic, along a row of what feels like hundreds of different hotels, burning brightly on a corner lot, the Hotel Admiral offers something else along with its comforts, food, drink and water views. The celebration of rock'n'roll and art here is incredible. A gallery of paintings and sculptures in the lobby, individually decorated rooms and the floor to ceiling murals in the stairwells sets a different tone for these accommodation.

(NEWARK, NJ) -- My Chemical Romance brought their Reunion Tour to Prudential Center on September 20, 2022 and Jennifer Petrics was there to cover the show and take photos. The Homeless Gospel Choir and Thursday opened the night. After more than a decade without touring (and band-made jokes that the Black Parade Is Dead), the parade marches on.  And My Chem fans couldn’t be happier to be in the procession.

Jon Caspi Talks About New Version of "Raise 'Em High", New Beer, and New Label

On September 23, 2022, New Jersey punk/americana rock outfit Jon Caspi & The First Gun shared a new version of their fan favorite barroom sing-along song, “Raise ‘Em High!”, featuring Jesse Malin on vocals, and Dez Cadena (known from Black Flag and The Misfits) on guitar. The band also announced a new EP titled, Raise 'Em High! and other delights, which will feature the new version of the song. It will be released on October 14 via Fake Chapter Records. The single will also be coming out as a 7" in March, 2023.



October's Poetry and Paintings Open Mic Takes Place October 7th

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Poetry and Paintings NJ and Co-Collaborator Crystal Letters has announced its lineup for October's Poetry and Paintings Open Mic at Greenspace Studios on October 7th. Poetry and Paintings is an open mic and art showcase, featuring musicians, poets, and artists from the tri-state area. This October’s Poetry and Paintings Open Mic event will feature Jersey City Poet Laureate, Rescue Poetix, musician CSW aka atheroic_poet, artists by Aryeh Kadosh and Buttered Roll and more.  The event takes place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Greenspace Studio Green Space Studios 195 New York Ave Ste 3E Jersey City. Event curation by SammyB (itsbymmas) and videography by Dolo_xi.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
