Bergen County Players Opens Up New Block of Tickets for "Ragtime: The Musical"

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America’s longest-running little theater companies, opened its 90th season to raves with one of the most ambitious productions ever mounted by BCP - Ragtime: The Musical. A new block of tickets has just been released for Thursday, October 13 at 8:00pm.  Performances run through Saturday, October 15 at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell with shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm. 



Luna Stage presents World Premiere of Zachary Elkind’s new adaptation of Shakespeare's "Richard II"

(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage will present the World Premiere of Zachary Elkind’s new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard II from October 20 to November 13 on the MainStage. Streamlined to a fleet 90 minutes, the play features four actors playing 16 roles, and highlights the humor and urgency of this taut, intimate, heartbreakingly political tragedy.



Hudson Theatre Works presents "Machinal"

(WEEHAWKEN, NJ) -- Hudson Theatre Works' “Theatre On The Edge” presents Machinal by Sophie Treadwell from October 20 to November 6, 2022 at the Theatre at the Wilson School in Weehawken.  In this 1928 feminist tour-de-force, a young woman struggles to find her place in a society that was not made for her. Treadwell uses theatrical expressionism to portray a world that has become impersonal and unfeeling; a world that only has room for those who are willing to submit and conform.



Art Fair 14C returns November 11-13

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- New Jersey’s largest visual arts event, Art Fair 14C, returns for its 4th Edition from November 11-13, 2022, at the historic Armory located at 678 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, New Jersey. The non-profit organization creates opportunities for artists, expands the public's accessibility to the fine arts, and strengthens Jersey City as an arts hub destination while engaging with tens of thousands of visitors.

(CRANFORD, NJ) -- Cranford’s CDC Theatre is presenting the Tony Award winning musical Once On This Island on Friday and Saturday nights from October 7-22. The play comes from the award winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Seussical, Anastasia, Ragtime). This highly original and theatrical Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, earned eight Tony nominations for its Broadway run, including Best Musical, Book and Score. Lewis Center for the Arts’ Program in Theater presents "Affecting Expression"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts’ Program in Theater at Princeton University presents Affecting Expression, a new queer tragicomedy by Princeton alum Eliana Cohen-Orth. The play tells the tale of three queer women from history — actress Charlotte Cushman, writer Matilda Hays, and sculptor Hatty Hosmer — as they navigate their intersecting artistic paths and the complexities of their relationships with each other and within the increasingly unreliable walls of their home. The production is directed by Princeton senior Eliyana Abraham and features senior Rosemary Paulson. Performances, which are free and open to the public, are Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8 at 8:00pm and Sunday, October 9 at 2:00pm in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus; no tickets are required.



William Paterson University presents The Helio Alves Quartet

(WAYNE, NJ) -- The Helio Alves Quartet comes to the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University as part of their Jazz Room Series on Sunday, October 9th at 4:00pm. A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, pianist Helio Alves combines the rhythmic complexity of modern Brazilian music with the edgy energy of contemporary jazz. The quartet includes Helio Alves: Piano; Chico Pinheiro: Guitar; Joe Martin: Bass; and Alex Kautz: Drums.



Evening of Political Comedy Slated at RVCC Theatre

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present the talented members of Capitol Comedy in Two Cheers for Democracy on Sunday, October 30 at 7:00pm.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
