(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Catalyst Theater Company presents Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens at the duCret School of Art in Plainfield with performances on October 20-22, and October 27-29. The show will finally debut after a long awaited hiatus due to Covid with a special pre show cabaret every night.  Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.



Debonair Music Hall presents The Dangerous Summer

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The Dangerous Summer is back with a headlining tour this fall in support of their new album ‘Coming Home’ via Rude Records. On Friday, November 18th, the band comes to Teaneck's Debonair Music Hall with special guests Like Pacific and My Kid Brother. Doors open at 6:00, showtime is 7:00pm.



Hoboken Celebrates Marsha P. Johnson on Sunday

(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Join the Hoboken Historical Museum on Sunday, October 23 at 3:00pm at 1301 Hudson for a special performance event celebrating Marsha P. Johnson, the late drag queen and gay rights activist. Born Malcolm Michaels Jr. in Elizabeth, NJ, Marsha was a living, shining example of 'radical self-expression,' long before Burning Man popularized the phrase. The last 12 years of Johnson’s life were spent in Hoboken living with Randy Wicker in Marine View Plaza. Johnson died in 1992, and has since become a symbol and inspiration within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.








Evening of Favorite Broadway Hits to be Presented at RVCC Theatre

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- It’s rock and roll meets Broadway when The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg presents The Diamonds in Let’s Rock Broadway on Sunday, November 13 at 7:00pm. The Diamonds will rock the house with a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience spanning four decades of popular music. The brand-new show, Let’s Rock Broadway, features hits from such favorite Broadway musicals as Jersey Boys, Grease, Mamma Mia, Saturday Night Fever, and Beatlemania.



The Rocky Horror Picture Show is Back and So Are Its Wild Fans

The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie is a national phenomenon, a cult class, movie milestone – call it what you will. Every Halloween, many theaters throughout the county host a wild, wild party along with a late-night screening of the movie as Halloween and horror extravaganza. Bright colors are everywhere at the party – yellow, flame red, passionate pink. Lots of loud noise, too – shouting and cheering. One of the most successful is at the State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick, which holds its party/movie on this Saturday, October 22. The party starts at 9:00pm and the film goes on at 11:00pm. The Rocky Horror extravaganza is incredibly popular, with as many as 1,200 people attending one of the shows at the State Theatre.



Newton Theatre presents Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash

(NEWTON, NJ) -- On Friday, February 10, 2023, The Newton Theatre presents Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash featuring Shawn Barker. Born and raised in a working class suburb of St. Louis, Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in church with his family and turned it into a career, a one of a kind tribute to Johnny Cash, one of America’s greatest musical icons. Showtime is 8:00pm.



MPAC presents The Rascals featuring Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The next chapter of The Rascals is about to begin – two of the founders of the legendary rock ‘n’ roll band are once again taking to the stage to continue their legacy that started 57 years ago.  The Rascals bring their Time Peace Tour to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $49-$89.



State Theatre New Jersey presents "Tootsie"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the hilarious Tony Award®-winning musical, Tootsie, for four performances from November 4-6. Call it “musical comedy heaven” (Rolling Stone). Call it “the most uproarious new musical in years!” (The Hollywood Reporter). Call it Tootsie! This laugh-out-loud love letter to the theater tells the story of Michael Dorsey, a talented but difficult actor who struggles to find work until one show-stopping act of desperation lands him the role of a lifetime.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

Princeton Summer Theater presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Summer Theater's 2026 Children's Show is You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which runs weekends from June 20 to August 1, 2026. A beloved musical since its premiere in 1967, Clark Gesner brings Charles M. Schulz's "PEANUTS" characters to the stage. The musical ventures through the highs and lows of young life, from baseball and homework to young love and friendship. With an empathetic and whimsical eye, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown reminds us of the importance of connection and joy.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Yeah, the idea started early last year," enthusiastically stated guitarist Adrian Vandenberg as he discussed his upcoming "My Whitesnake Years" tour, a conglomeration of hits from some of the most revered classic rock acts of all time. "Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
