Charlie’s First Night in Hometown at the Basie

Sunday, October 23rd, Charlie Puth kicked off night one of the CHARLIE One Night Only tour to a packed house in his hometown, Red Bank, NJ, at the Count Basie Center for the Arts.  The artist came out strong with Charlie Be Quiet! and Light Switch (the TikTok song of the year) for the first two tracks before diving into a plentitude of number one hits. 



RVCC to Present Student Theatre Production of "Autumn Shorts"

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present the fall Studio Student Production of Autumn Shorts by H.W. Boggs, November 2-5 at 7:00pm each night. The production, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

The morning will feature wellness activations such as Zumba and yoga, while the afternoon will feature performances, art activations, health screenings, vendors and more! Branch Brook Park Fest brings together community members, wellness organizations, local business owners, artists and visitors and features vendors, live music, interactive art, and more. 



Pebble Players Youth Theater presents "Grease"

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Pebble Players Youth Theater in Summit NJ opens their season with Grease! Don’t miss this timeless fun show bringing you to the 50’s with performances across two weekends in November (13-18 and 18-20) Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "T-Birds" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.








Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "A Christmas Story: The Musical"

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre will present its holiday show, A Christmas Story: The Musical from December 3-18. From the songwriting team behind the smash hit Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen and the Academy Award-winning film La La Land, A Christmas Story: The Musical, brings the classic 1983 movie to hilarious life on stage.

Patti Murin of Broadway's "Frozen" to make NJ debut at Holmdel Theatre

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Maybe the Holmdel Theatre Company should consider changing its name to Arendelle, the kingdom in Disney’s popular Frozen franchise. Caissie Levy, who originated the role of Princess Elsa in the Broadway production of Frozen, performed there to a sold-out crowd in February. Now along comes her stage sister, Patti Murin, better known to some as Princess Anna. Murin will take the stage at 8:00pm on Saturday, November 5 as part of the theater’s Broadway in the Barn series.



Former US Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky to Celebrate Release of His Memoir at Monmouth University

(WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University Center for the Arts will welcome former three-term US Poet Laureate and Long Branch, NJ native Robert Pinsky for an evening of conversation in celebration of the release of his memoir Jersey Breaks on November 10th at 7:30pm in the Great Hall Auditorium.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

Princeton Summer Theater presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Summer Theater's 2026 Children's Show is You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which runs weekends from June 20 to August 1, 2026. A beloved musical since its premiere in 1967, Clark Gesner brings Charles M. Schulz's "PEANUTS" characters to the stage. The musical ventures through the highs and lows of young life, from baseball and homework to young love and friendship. With an empathetic and whimsical eye, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown reminds us of the importance of connection and joy.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Yeah, the idea started early last year," enthusiastically stated guitarist Adrian Vandenberg as he discussed his upcoming "My Whitesnake Years" tour, a conglomeration of hits from some of the most revered classic rock acts of all time. "Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
