Alpha Arts Institute At Sussex County Community College Presents Spring Musical "The Theory Of Relativity"

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Alpha Arts Institute at Sussex County Community College will present its first college musical post pandemic. From Drama Desk Award nominees Neil Bartram and Brian Hill, The Theory of Relativity is a joyous and moving look about our surprisingly interconnected lives. Sussex County Community College's production is directed by Professor Stephen Davis with music direction by Professor Mariann Cook and will be held at the college's Performing Arts Center located at One College Hill Road, Newton, NJ.



Sensory Friendly "Queen of Kids' Music" Comes to the Union County Performing Arts Center, on April 2nd

(RAHWAY, NJ) -- The Union County Board of County Commissioners has announced that recording artist Laurie Berkner will perform a special sensory friendly solo set of her greatest hits – and more -- on Sunday, April 2, at 12:30pm, live at the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) at 1601 Irving Street in Rahway, as part of the Commissioner Board’s Sensory Friendly Theatre series.



Songwriters by the Sea Returns To Monmouth University

(WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- The Monmouth University's Department of Music and Theatre has announced the return of distinguished New Jersey Songwriters Joe Rapolla and Joe D'Urso for the Songwriters by the Sea series, Saturday, March 24 at 8:00pm at the Lauren K. Woods Theatre. The series has been running at the University since 2012, with such acclaimed writer/artists as Marshall Crenshaw, Alison Moorer, David Johansen, James Maddock, and many others.

“Getting ready to get back on the road, it’s an East Coast swing," said an elated Rick Estrin as he and The Nightcats prepare to come to the Zlock Performing Arts Center in Newtown, PA for a 7:30 p.m. show on April 7. "What we've been doing the last two or three years is, we'll get something in Europe and so then we'll put together a little East Coast tour to go along with that. So, we're doing Manhattan and the Bucks County thing and a couple of dates in New England and then we're flying to I think Holland; it's only a couple of dates in Holland

Comedian, motivational speaker Kelly Swanson to perform at Stockton University

(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Award-winning storyteller, comedian and author Kelly Swanson will have audiences at the Stockton University Performing Arts Center in side-splitting laughter for her show titled "Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale?" on Saturday, March 25. The event begins at 7:30pm.



Local Museum Celebrates African American Women of the Sourland Region

(SKILLMAN, NJ) -- The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) was founded by two visionary Black women, Elaine Buck and Beverly Mills, and is led today by a majority-female and African American board. In honor of Women's History Month, SSAAM, central New Jersey's only Black history museum, is excited to announce a special photographic exhibit of historical portraits of women from the Sourland region's Black founding families and their descendants. The exhibit, entitled "African American Women of the Sourlands," will be open to the public on March 25 and 26, 2023.
