Woodbury Pre-Teen Wins Scholarship at International Music Competition

The prestigious Philadelphia International Music Festival awarded over $20,000 in scholarships and performance opportunities to ten young musicians who took the top spots in PIMF's semi-annual Online Concerto Competition. Pianist Yidi Ding of Woodbury, NJ won a partial scholarship to PIMF's intensive classical music training program this summer after winning First Prize in his division and Runner-Up to the Grand Prize. The 11-year-old has been studying piano for 6 years.



Kean Stage presents Ali Stroker

(UNION, NJ) -- Broadway's Tony Award-winning performer Ali Stroker will return to Kean University's Enlow Recital Hall on Saturday, April 1 at 7:30pm. Ali Stroker performed a live streamed performance at Enlow Recital Hall in February 2021, which won the 2021 BroadwayWorld New Jersey Award for Best Streaming Concert/Cabaret.



The Original Misfits to Play Prudential Center with The Gaslight Anthem and Fear

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The Original Misfits, one of the most influential, genre-defying bands to emerge from North America, have announced a limited three-show run of dates for 2023. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on June 24 in Tampa, FL, and includes a hometown show at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, with fellow New Jersey natives The Gaslight Anthem, and Fear, on Saturday, July 8, 2023.



"On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan" comes to MPAC

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will present a brand new production of the smash-hit musical On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan. This inspiring true story about heart, heritage and two people who believed in their talent—and each other—has already won the hearts of audiences and critics alike. On Your Feet! will have three performances at MPAC Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16.








Trilogy Repertory To Present "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" At Sieminski Theater

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The Sieminski Theater welcomes Trilogy Repertory to the stage in April for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a musical comedy about everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit. Performances run April 21-23 and April 28-29.



RVCC Theatre Students to Perform "She Kills Monsters"

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's Arts and Design department will present a student theatre production of Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition from March 29 to April 1. Performances take place at 7:00pm each night. The production, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be staged in RVCC's Welpe Theatre at the College's Branchburg campus.



West Hudson Arts & Theater Company (WHATCo) to Hold Auditions for "The Great Gatsby: A Live Radio Play"

(WEST HUDSON, NJ) -- The West Hudson Arts & Theater Co (WHATCo) will host open auditions for The Great Gatsby: A Live Radio Play, adapted for the stage by Joe Landry, from the Novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald featuring original music by Kevin Connors and directed by Beatriz Esteban-Messina. Auditions will be held in person on Saturday, April 1st from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and Sunday, April 2nd from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the WHATCo theater, 15 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. South, Harrison, N.J. (the former Holy Cross School). Call backs or a read through will be April 3rd from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

2023 New Jersey International Film Festival to Take Place in June

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, will present the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival which marks their 28th Anniversary. The Festival will be taking place on the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between June 2-11, 2023. The Festival will be a hybrid one as they will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University.

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.
