Trenton City Museum to Host Two-Part Lecture Series by Award-winning Author and Presidential Historian Louis L. Picone

(TRENTON, NJ) -- Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie will host a two-part Saturday afternoon lecture series by award-winning author and presidential historian Louis Picone July 8 and July 15. Both programs will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and will include a Q&A and a book signing reception. Trenton City Museum is in historic Cadwalader Park, accessed by car from Parkside Ave. It offers plenty of building-adjacent parking.



Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "Avenue Q"

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents the musical, Avenue Q from August 12-20, 2023. Winner of the Tony Triple Crown for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, this laugh-out-loud musical - featuring actors and puppets - tells the story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood, which is a racy, adults-only cross between South Park and Sesame Street.

OCC Repertory Theatre Company Presents "Kiss Me, Kate" at Grunin Center

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Repertory Theatre Company will present Kiss Me, Kate July 14-16 and 21-23 on the Main Stage at the Grunin Center for the Arts, located on the main campus of Ocean County College. The first Broadway show ever to win the Tony Award for Best Musical, Kiss Me, Kate tells the story of feuding former spouses forced to play opposite each other in a production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.

The lobby of Toms River, NJ's Grunin Center for the Arts is bustling this Friday, June 22, 2023 evening as fans of classic rock wait to enter the auditorium for a performance by Rock N Roll Time Machine. Playing music from the '70s and '80s, Rock N Roll Time Machine is led by Dave Lister, former guitarist for the glam metal band, Pretty Boy Floyd.

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- One of Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA)'s most steadfast and beloved traditions, the Annual Choir Festival, now in its 69th season, returns on Sunday, July 9 at 7:00pm in The Great Auditorium. This spectacular choral event features dozens of choral organizations from the Northeast, forming a massed choir of hundreds of voices accompanied by the Great Auditorium's historic 13,000+ pipe organ and featuring the Great Auditorium Soloists. MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

Loss, we've all suffered it. Some of us more than others,some less and still yet there are those of us who've not had loss of any significance to this point. Loss, like anything else, is directly related to perspective. What may seem like a huge loss to one, is insignificant to another. People pass away, bad days do the same, they fade into the night or disappear at the bottom of one's favorite drink until they are swept away by the morning's sunrise and things are new. Some loss stays a bit longer, adding scars to our bodies until they become topographical maps of memories; reminders of what not to do or what we didn't do or should've done.
