Trenton City Museum presents "Fast Forward to 40"

(TRENTON, NJ) -- "Fast Forward to 40", the Trenton City Museum's just-opened exhibition, celebrates the art and artists of the Ellarslie Open over the show's 40 years. As co-chair of the Ellarslie Open for many years with Carolyn Stetson, Carol Hill lent her experience and discerning eye as the show's Curator. The show is on view through June 11. The public is invited to the show’s Artists Reception Sunday, April 30, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm to meet up with Carol Hill, with artists whose work is featured, and with fellow museum friends and volunteers.



State Theatre New Jersey presents STYX

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents STYX on Sunday, May 7 at 7:30pm. The six men comprising Styx have committed to rocking the Paradise together with audiences far and wide by entering their second decade of averaging over 100 shows a year, and each one of them is committed to making the next show better than the last. Styx draws from over four decades of barn burning chart hits, joyous singalongs, and hard-driving deep cuts. Tickets range from $59-$129.



Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater presents "Architects of Dance" at Bell Works on May 18th

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater (AXCBT), the Jersey Shore's professional ballet company, will present a one-night-only special event, "Architects of Dance," featuring the Company in choreography by some of the greatest modern dancers of our time who will also perform on the program, on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 7:30pm, in the Atrium at Bell Works Studio in Holmdel.



Remember Jones and Basie Cinemas to present lost Meat Loaf film, "Dead Ringer"

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Basie Cinemas and Remember Jones Presents bring a very special event and one night only screening of the lost Meat Loaf film Dead Ringer on Saturday, May 27th at 7:00pm. This screening will be hosted by renowned musician Remember Jones, in anticipation of his acclaimed Bat Out of Hell Live event coming to the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at Count Basie Center on June 2nd and Resorts Casino as part of North 2 Shore Festival on June 10th.

(WEST HUDSON, NJ) -- The West Hudson Arts & Theater Co (WHATCo) is presenting You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown by Clark Gesner, Michael Mayer, Andrew Lippa, and Charles M. Schulz to West Hudson audiences for two weekends with the second runnin April 28-30 at WHATCo's new performance space, 15 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. South, Harrison, NJ (the former Holy Cross School). NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a Spring Season of Jazz with free monthly jazz jams at Clement's Place and two special concert events inside the Victoria Theater. This series, running from September through June, is co-presented by NJPAC's Jazz Advisory Committee and Rutgers University–Newark's Institute of Jazz Studies (IJS). PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey proudly presents The Sound Studio Series, an immersive musical experience that places concertgoers at the very heart of the performance. Held in STNJ's intimate Studio space, limited to just 80 attendees, The Sound Studio Series features a dynamic mix of both classical and rock performances. The second episode of Lighty’s Corner is live! This is a bi-weekly recorded radio show presenting new rock music from around the globe. Each of the 15 new tracks played were received via email within the last two weeks - a practice I hope to continue each time.




"She's Like the Wind"

The first thing you'll see upon entering the gallery at Deep Space (77 Cornelison St.) is the shadow-outline of a woman's leg. There it is, on a chartreuse background, sticking straight up in the air with a curvaceous bare foot inches from the ceiling. That's all of the subject of "Lemon Lime Toe of God" that the oil painter Delilah Ray Miske is willing to show us. The rest of the body, she implies, is splayed out on a bed. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
