(JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Welcome the winter holiday season with a collection of seasonal songs by Jersey Shore guitarist Keith Calmes on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch. Keith's accomplishments in a career that spans three decades include his Carnegie Recital Hall debut as winner of the Artists International Competition, concerts with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, and a performance with Maestro Carlos Barbosa-Lima. The concert begins at 2:00pm.
(TEANECK, NJ) -- The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Teaneck High School (THS) will present two one acts by Adam Szymkowicz: 100 Things I Never Said To You and 100 Love Letters I Never Sent, at the Helen B. Hill Auditorium at Teaneck High School. The show has performances Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18 at 8:00pm, and Sunday, November 19 at 3:00pm.
"Well, it's 12 songs and it's somewhat of a cycle of songs about the neighborhood that I live in in San Francisco; specifically it's more generally about the state of the world, my neighborhood, the forces of gentrification that have affected it and then the usual love lost and human interest stuff," laughs songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Tom Heyman as he talked about his new album, "24th Street Blues" and the illustrated songbook that accompanies it.

All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. Frank Hanavan's Hoboken is wet. In his streetscapes, surfaces glisten. The sky is rarely glowering, but it does seem full; ready to have something to say, or wrapping up something that it is busy saying. The canopy of foliage that hangs over the streetcorners feels saturated with moisture. Even the shadows on the sidewalk are puddle blue. Businesses have their umbrellas open. A few people do, too.
