(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company’s TYRO Acting Program is now accepting enrollment for the 2019 summer session running July 8 through July 19. As part of the Centenary Stage Company’s mission to introduce and develop arts in education within the community, TYRO I for ages 6 – 8 and TYRO II for ages 9 - 11 is a two-week theatre arts program designed specifically for young thespians. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Normal Ave, a theatre company founded by a group of Montclair State alumni, have announced its 2019-20 season. The season will kick off October 3, 2019 with the world premiere of Of the woman came the beginning of sin and through her we all die by Lily Houghton, directed by Kylie M. Brown. Following will be another world premiere: Indoor Person by Kayla Martine, directed by Andrew Garrett, beginning performances February 19, 2020. The season will finish with The Book of Grace by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Shariffa Ali, which returns to New York for the first time since the 2010 run at The Public. The Parks revival begins performances April 23, 2020. Casts and creative teams will be announced at a later date.... READ ON

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- East Lynne Theater Company, Cape May Stage, and GABLES joined forces to support LGBTQ+ Gay Pride Month with "Cape Pride: Two Staged Readings."  On June 10, "The Normal Heart" was at Cape May Stage, and on Monday, June 24, "The Temperamentals" by Jon Marans, will be at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., where ELTC is in residence. Time is 8:00 p.m., and admission is by donation, with a suggested minimum of $10 in cash or by check, at the door. 50% will be shared between Cape May Stage and East Lynne Theater Company (both nonprofits); 50% will be donated to the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (another nonprofit) to support its on-going work. Following the reading will be a Q&A with the cast.   ... READ ON
