The Stress Factory Comedy Club presents Michael Blackson this Weekend

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Stress Factory Comedy Club presents Michael Blackson from August 28-29, 2026. He has been called one of the most original stand-up comics in the country, and his performances have audiences laughing in tears.








A New Season of Improv Classes Begins in September at Vivid Stage

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, is opening enrollment for its fall session of improv classes for adults, which runs September 9 through November 2, 2026. Classes offered this session include the Joy of Improv, both as a full session and as a Crash Course, Comedy Math, Special Effects and a one-night Improv Jam. The entire season of classes is available now, offering a full progression from beginner through performance-ready.

"We're a blues infused southern rock band out of Nashville, Tennessee," began Parker Barrow drummer Dylan "Trigg"Turner as he discussed the band, their new album, a local Jersey Connection and their show this evening, September 3 at The Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck. "My wife and I started the band about eight years ago and over the last several years we've put together a solidified lineup of extremely talented awesome musicians who are some of our best friends and are family. We are blessed to be out here traveling the country and even internationally to do what we love with the people we love; man, it's a real blessing and we're super excited to be returning back to Teaneck and back to New Jersey. Our keyboard player, Eric Safka is actually from Asbury Park so it's sort of a home market for us. Eric has been with us for about two years now and he is a madman on the organ (Laughs)."

VA New Jersey Healthcare System presents 1 Degree of Separation: A Funny Look at Depression and Suicide

The VA New Jersey Healthcare System is pleased to present an evening of stand-up comedy to raise awareness of Veteran suicide. 1 Degree of Separation begins with stand-up comedy with four different comedians. Not mental health comedy. Just comedy. We just want you to laugh. Laughter changes your brain. In the second half of the show, the four comedians answer five questions about their own mental health.
