Ocean County College Foundation to Host Symposium on Margaret Atwood's Impact

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Foundation will host a full day of conversations exploring the influence of writer Margaret Atwood on Thursday, April 23, 2026 on the College's main campus in Toms River. The symposium will feature a series of panel discussions, followed by a screening of the 2019 documentary "Margaret Atwood: A Word after a Word after a Word is Power." Afterwards, guests are invited to attend a livestream broadcast of Margaret Atwood's moderated conversation. (Tickets to the in-person talk are sold out at this time).

George Street Playhouse Awarded NJEDA Grant for "Choose Your Price" Performances of "My Lord, What A Night"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse (GSP) announced that they are the recipients of a $500,000 grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) under Phase II of the Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (A.R.T.) program. This grant will support an expanded run and "Choose Your Price" performances for GSP's upcoming production of My Lord, What A Night, designed to increase access to professional theater for audiences across New Jersey.



Newark Arts Council Launches ArtStart Grant 2026–27: Arts & Wellness Grants

American Theater Group to Honor Co-Founder/Producing Artistic Director James Vagias at Gala Benefit

(UNION, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) will honor its outgoing co-founder and Producing Artistic Director James Vagias at its bi-annual Gala Benefit on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Union Arts Center. Vagias will retire this summer at the end of the 2025-26 Season. A successor will be named shortly.
