1) NJPAC Announces Lineup for Horizon Sounds of the City 2023 - (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced the annual Horizon Sounds of the City 2023, a FREE live summer concert series taking place under the stars during the summer every Thursday Night from July 13 – August 17 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on the NJPAC Campus at Chambers Plaza.

3) 2023 Newark Black Film Festival to Take Place July 12-16 - (NEWARK, NJ) -- The 2023 Newark Black Film Festival takes place July 12-16 at The Newark Museum of Art. This is the longest-running Black film festival in the country and it celebrates films that appreciate the historic significance of the Black experience in the United States. The festival features late-night parties, live panel discussions, and exclusive screenings of films created in the last three years.

4) Pat Guadagno Pays Homage to the Artists Who Helped Him Discover and Love Music - Earlier this year, New Jersey singer-songwriter Pat Guadagno released an album featuring covers of the artists who led him to discover and keep his passion for music. Anybody that has ever seen Pat live knows two things: the man is one of the best singers in the Garden State and the way he interprets each song, makes every cover his own.  Albums sometimes get overlooked, so we are spotlighting a few tunes on his latest album, 1964.

5) PHOTOS from "Kinky Boots" at Pleasant Valley Productions - (WEST ORANGE, NJ) — Pleasant Valley Productions presents Kinky Boots across two weekends (July 14-15 and July 20-22) at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC). Kinky Boots is the big-hearted musical extravaganza that won six Tonys including Best Musical, the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

6) "Still at the Top of Their Game!" Chicago LIVE! at STNJ - Fog rolls in on the stage under white lights this Sunday, June 25, 2023 at New Brunswick, NJ’s State Theatre New Jersey, illuminating a raised bandstand filled with drums and percussion, keyboards, assorted horns, and mic stands.

7) State Theatre announces Eight Holiday Shows and Christmas in July Sale - (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey has announced a special Christmas in July Sale from Friday, July 14 through Monday, July 31. 8) PHOTOS from Trey Anastasio Band at Stone Pony Summer Stage - On the morning of July 7, 2023, I got the best news! My request to photograph the Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ came through. This show was originally scheduled back in 2021, but thanks to Covid-19 did not take place until two years later. Trey Anastasio even remarked at the start of the show, “it’s great to be here, we were supposed to be here two years, but couldn’t be thanks to something. That something is gone now, and we are here!” Adding to the excitement of the news I got that morning, was that this show was sold out and the buzz in the air as I arrived in Asbury Park at the beginning of sound check was electric. 

9) Herman's Hermits and The Buckinghams LIVE! at BergenPAC - Lovers of timeless pop music stream into Englewood, NJ’s BergenPAC this Saturday, June 17, 2003 for a concert of classic hits by two groups which topped the charts in the 1960s — Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone and The Buckinghams.

10) Ocean County Library Toms River Branch to Present Harry Potter Birthday Bash for Teens - (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Teens, get ready for the biggest party of the summer! “Happy Birthday, Harry Potter!” will be held in Mancini Hall of the Ocean County Library Toms River Branch on Friday, July 28. There will be lots of activities, including a Sorting Quiz to determine your House, plus wands, potion necklaces, and pygmy puffs to make. Some edible treats might contain potential allergens. The event runs from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.
