Music fans inside Englewood, NJ’s bergenPAC this Sunday, January 11, 2026 evening are ready and waiting for a show which promises to be a real keeper — a Homecoming 2026 tour performance by The Band Perry.
The Band Perry is a country/pop group featuring Kimberly Perry on lead vocals and guitar. As a teenager, Kimberly sang in a band for which her younger brothers, Neil and Reid, worked as roadies. At the ages of 8 and 10, the brothers began performing as an opening act for Kimberly appearing as The Mobile Music Machines.
Once the trio of siblings decided to form The Band Perry in 2005, they went out on the road as part of the New Faces of Country Tour. Three years later, they were discovered by Garth Brooks’ manager and, in 2010, released their self-titled debut album which rocketed to #1 on the Billboard country music chart and was certified platinum six times over. In 2013, the siblings completed their second album, Pioneer, which reached the #2 spot on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart.
The trio released a five-song electro-pop EP entitled Coordinates in 2018. Five years later, they went on hiatus to focus on solo work and Kimberly released her first solo EP, Bloom.
In 2025, The Band Perry reemerged with Neil and Reid Perry departing the group and Kimberly’s husband, Johnny Costello, joining the band.
The ensemble is currently performing around the country on their 2026 The Band Perry: A Homecoming tour.
Inside the bergenPAC auditorium, the lights dim and a slow and ethereal minor-key recording of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” plays. Afterwards, violinist Tessa Dalton, guitarist Charlie Worsham, and drummer McKenzie Smith take the stage along with Johnny Costello on mandolin.
Looking stunning in a black sequined dress, Kimberly Perry enters exclaiming, “Let’s go, come on!” as she launches into Pioneer’s “Better Dig Two.” In her strong, sultry, Southern-tinged voice, Perry sings, “If you go before I do/I’m gonna tell the gravedigger that he better dig two.”
After Perry asks, “How you all feeling tonight, New Jersey?” Tessa Dalton renders a violin solo on this minor key country-rock tune.
The crowd cheers and Perry responds, “Thank you so much! Do we have any country music lovers out here on a Sunday night or what?” as she and the band launch into a song from their debut album, The Band Perry, entitled “You Lie.” On this number, Perry dances across the stage singing with power and charming the audience with her theatrical flair on this upbeat country tune.
“We are so excited to be up in New Jersey! This is our official very first round of 2026!” explains Perry as she and the band lighten the mood with the bouncy country tune, “Stay in the Dark.” Audience members clap and sing along with Perry on the number’s catchy “Oh, oh, oh, it feels so good tonight” refrain.
Fans applaud and Perry exclaims, “New Jersey always knows how to party!” before introducing herself along with her husband, Costello, who gets the crowd swaying back and forth to the country-rock ballad, “All Your Life.”
Perry reveals, “I’ve got some brand new music to play for you tonight,” and asks the crowd to let her know if they like her newest “psycho girl love song.” On “Psychological,” Charlie Worsham renders a twangy electric solo and Perry dances as she sings with emotion on this powerful 6/8 ballad.
Concertgoers hoot and holler as Costello plays electric guitar and Perry accompanies herself on acoustic on the strummy Band Perry country ballad, “Ghosts,” where Tessa Dalton contributes a key orchestral string part on the violin.
Perry and Co. follow up with the driving Pioneer country rocker, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” where she cries, “Take the keys to my car and the keys to my heart and just drive,” before segueing into the upbeat rocker, “Double Heart,” where Costello sings backup to Perry’s lead.
Fans cheer and applaud and Perry exclaims, “The band is on fire tonight!” before she and the group pour themselves into “a love song to beer” — Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart” — where Kimberly animatedly dances as she sings this twangy swamp-rocker.
Perry asks, “Can we try out another brand new song on you right here?” as she and the band fly into “Buzzards.” Written about “the end of a relationship,” Perry cries, “Can’t you see those buzzards flying?” on this slow country tune with a heavy beat.
Costello plays bass and sings back up on the country-rocker, “Postcards from Paris,” before Perry takes a moment to recognize Collin, a fan seated in the front row, and leads the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to him on his 30th birthday at his 103rd Band Perry concert.
Perry follows up with another new song, “Country Nirvana,” where she shows her vocal range and power on this slow twangy country ballad, and Costello plays mandolin as Perry dances across the stage while crooning the country power ballad, “Acres.”
Concertgoers cheer and Perry announces, “We would like to play the song that probably introduced us all to each other.” Here, she and the band perform The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young,” where the audience joins in dancing and singing along with Kimberly on the “If I die young bury me in satin” chorus of this folksy country tune.
“Can we keep the sing-along going?” inquires Perry as she and the band gallop into a medley of cowboy songs including Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson’s “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,” Paula Cole’s “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” and The Chicks’ “Cowboy Take Me Away.”
Exclaiming, “We gotta get you ready for your Monday morning!” Perry and Co. get the crowd clapping along on the catchy Pioneer country rocker, “I’m a Keeper,” where music lovers happily sing along on the tune’s “I’ll join a band and sing like a canary” refrain under flashing lights.
Concertgoers stand and dance as fog fills the stage for the group’s final number, “Chainsaw.” Perry and Costello dance around the stage as everyone sings along on the powerful “And I got my chainsaw” chorus.
Before the number is over, Perry introduces her bandmates who each take a turn playing a solo in the spotlight before the number concludes with Perry exclaiming, “Peace and love!” as she and the band exit the stage.
Music lovers continue to stand and cheer until Perry and group return to perform an encore of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” prior to concluding tonight’s show with a powerful and energetic rendition of The Band Perry’s 2013 #1 country hit, “Done.”
Audience members sing along on the song’s catchy “Mama always told me that I should play nice” chorus and dance to the beat of this high-energy number before Kimberly and her bandmates bow and take leave of the stage while drummer McKenzie Smith tosses out drumsticks to fans in the crowd.
As concertgoers make their way out of the bergenPAC auditorium, several share their thoughts about The Band Perry’s performance this evening. Comments Sally from Bergenfield, “The Band Perry is great — they have a lot of energy! Their songs are wonderful, including all the new ones they played,” before concluding, “My father’s from Tennessee and my mother’s from Oklahoma. I’m a real country music fan and they put on a real country show tonight!”
Linda from Bergenfield contends, “The Band Perry was great! I originally saw them when they first started performing — they weren’t even famous yet; they were just opening for another act at the time — and they were fabulous then and they’re fabulous now! I’m just so happy they were here at bergenPAC tonight. They have a lot of energy and a great country sound. I enjoyed their show immensely!”
Arline from Waldwick reveals, “This was my first time seeing The Band Perry and they not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. Kimberly Perry is an amazing performer and the band is so energetic. They put on a great concert. I had a lot of fun and will definitely be coming back to see them again!”
Kaitlin from Clifton remarks, “They were so much fun! It was my first time seeing The Band Perry and they were super exciting and super fun. They had so much energy and great songs — even the songs they covered were great — and I danced my butt off!” Brittany from Secaucus agrees, adding, “I’m a big country fan and this was my first time seeing The Band Perry. Kimberly’s got great moves and she really connects with the audience. The whole band was fantastic, plus I got a drumstick from the drummer which will be a great memory from tonight!”
Lastly, Collin — the birthday boy, from Edison — acknowledges, “I’ve seen The Band Perry 103 times in 20 different states. I’ve been following them for 14 or 15 years now — about half my life — and they are great people and great musicians,” prior to concluding, “They put on an amazing show tonight — one of the best I’ve seen!”
