(HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) -- Somerset Valley Players presents Drinking Habits by Tom Smith weekends from January 16 through February 1, 2026. Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce.
Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancees, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down.
Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves.
The cast includes: Laura Carey (Sister Philamena), Zach Caruso (Paul), Kayla Del Valle (Sister Mary Catherine), Ashley Kipness (Sister Augusta), Raymond Shinn (Father Chenille), Jamie Sutton (Mother Superior), Jacob Turchi (George), and Ashley Widmer (Sally).
Performances take place Fridays and Saturday nights at 8:00pm, Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. Somerset Valley Players is located at 689 Amwell Road in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
