RVCCArts Announces 3 In-Person Shows

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present a limited, in-person season this winter and spring, designed to entertain audiences of all ages. The three, live productions offer a variety of performance styles and genres, ranging from traditional and contemporary Irish tunes, to hilarious comedy and astonishing juggling, to powerful renditions of great soul music.

“Welcome back to RVCCArts! We are thrilled to announce a limited season starting in February with three events, featuring talented professional artists, that offer something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you back at RVCCArts—the performing arts center in your backyard,” said Jill Erwin, RVCC Director of Theater and Conference Services.

The following shows, recommended for audience members age five and older, have been scheduled this season:

Danú: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, Friday, February 18 at 8:00pm; Tickets are $30-$40 - Hailing from historic County Waterford, Danú is one of today’s leading, traditional Irish ensembles. The artists’ standing-room-only concerts throughout Ireland are true events featuring high-energy performances and a glorious mix of ancient Irish music and new repertoire.

The Flying Karamazov Brothers: 4Play, Friday, March 11 at 7:00pm; Tickets are $30-$40 - Expect the unexpected with The Flying Karamazov Brothers. The four, self-proclaimed eccentric “lunatics” spice things up with a zany showcase filled with laugh-out-loud comedy, wild theatrics, and astonishing juggling feats. The group’s most popular show, 4Play, has entertained audiences throughout the world.

Soul of America: A Tribute to Aretha Franklin, Saturday, April 9 at 2:00pm; Tickets are $30-$40 - The performers of Soul of America pay tribute to Aretha Franklin like no other artists. Join Soul of America and sing along to your favorite hits by the Queen of Soul. The group offers a powerful performance of the greatest soul hits ever written in America, performed by the people who helped make them famous and unforgettable to this day.

In order to provide a safe and comfortable experience for everyone at The Theatre at RVCC, all events will be held at limited capacity with distanced reserved seating. All guests and staff are required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth while indoors, including while seated in the Theatre. The Theatre will be sanitized between performances, and hand sanitizing stations will be available in the lobby. In addition, food and beverage concessions will not be available for purchase.

Princeton Makes Artist Cooperative Announces Move to New Space Within Princeton Shopping Center

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, has announced that it will be moving its store and studios to a new location within the Princeton Shopping Center. Princeton Makes will host a re-opening celebration on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the new location, which is in the southeast section of the shopping center, between Princeton Nassau Pediatrics and Pizza Star. People will have the opportunity to shop in the new space, meet many of the Princeton Makes artists, and enjoy refreshments. The event will start at 10:00am and continue through regular store hours until 6:00pm.

American Theater Group, Union Arts Center and New Jersey Creative Arts Collaborative present Juneteenth Celebration

(UNION, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG), in partnership with the New Jersey Creative Arts Collaborative (NJCAC) and the new Union Arts Center will present Juneteenth: A Celebration of Liberation at the DMK Stage at the Union Arts Center (1980 Morris Avenue) in Union on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 7:00pm. It will be an inspirational evening of music, dance, poetry, and more.

2025 Princeton Festival to Take Place June 6-21

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has announced its performance line-up for this year's Princeton Festival, New Jersey's premier performing arts festival, taking place June 6-21, 2025 on the beautiful grounds of Morven Museum & Garden. The performing arts showcase includes chart-topping hits of music icons, superstar soprano Renée Fleming, songs by Sondheim, a tumultuous opera by Giacomo Puccini, an evening of dance, music of Vivaldi and the Motor City, plus a joy-filled finale featuring the music of ABBA. A Baroque concert and violin recital take place at nearby Trinity Church.

SSAAM presents Juneteenth 2025: Stories of Freedom

(SKILLMAN, NJ) -- The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM), Central New Jersey's only museum sharing the history of African Americans in our region since the trans-Atlantic Slave trade, will hold its fourth annual Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The event runs from 12:00pm to 4:00pm (rain or shine).
