(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Dr. Anna Keiserman, a pianist and Assistant Professor of Music at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, has received a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Local Arts Program Grant from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission for the MOZAIKA concert series.
The MOZAIKA concert series was created to promote multicultural dialogue through the performance of music from the classical canon through the 21st century. By presenting programs that span centuries and continents, the performers celebrate diverse genres, influences, and our shared humanity, bearing witness to music’s ability to bring people together.
Russian-born artist Anna Keiserman is known for her creative programming and expressive freedom in her piano playing. Performance credits include concerts at Le Poisson Rouge, the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts (Toms River), the Strand Theater (Hudson Falls, NY), and Ateneu Barcelonès (Barcelona, Spain), among others.
Highlights of Dr. Keiserman's 2022-23 season include concert tours and masterclasses in Minnesota, Canada, and a recording of solo piano works by composer Jordi Cervelló. A trio for saxophone, bassoon, and piano, Bercesue-Lament by Marc Migó Cortes, featuring Dr. Keiserman, was released last fall by the PARMA Records label. Her current season features premieres of works by John Sichel and Steve Cohen for woodwind quintet at the International Navy Saxophone Symposium (Fairfax, VA).
Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, New Jersey.
