(CLINTON, NJ) -- Todd Sheaffer & Friends, Yarn and the Bobby Syvarth band featuring Tim Carbone will headline the Second Annual Soulstice Music & Arts Festival in Clinton. The 3-day event, with over 25 bands, takes place at the Red Mill Museum in historic Clinton from Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2, 2026. The festival is presented by the Pattenburg House and The Peace Love Music Movement.

Friday, July 31

Friday night's free admission show kicks off the weekend with the showing of the Soulstice 2025 festival documentary and music by the Sparetire Band.

The Sparetire Band is a five-piece powerhouse built on groove, grit, and pure love for the music. This jam band brings classic rock anthems to life with a fresh, improvisational edge. Blending tight musicianship with free-flowing energy, they take familiar favorites and stretch them into dynamic, extended journeys—where no two performances are ever the same. Driven by soaring guitars, soulful vocals, and a rock-solid rhythm section, the band moves seamlessly from laid-back, feel-good vibes to high-energy, crowd-shaking moments. Whether it’s a timeless singalong or a deep cut reimagined, they capture the spirit of classic rock while adding their own creative spark.

Last summer, something special happened at the Red Mill. Music, art, community, and energy came together in a way you can’t manufacture—and they captured it all. Soulstice: The Film is a raw, immersive look inside the inaugural festival, told through live performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and the people who made it what it was. This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s a time capsule. From sunlit sets and late-night jams to the build, the chaos, and the connection—this film pulls you back into the feeling of Soulstice from the inside out. They’re kicking off this year’s festival with the official premiere on Friday night. Whether you were there last year or stepping into Soulstice for the first time, this is how it starts. One weekend. One community. One story—just getting started.

Saturday, August 1st

Todd Sheaffer headlines the Saturday show, which also features performances by Joe Cirotti, Adventures of Matte Black, CC Coletti, Alyce Drive, Todd Sargent, Brian Molnar & Slow Rolling Low, Kennedy & Plumpton, Canning Company, Mike Frank & Friends, Charlie Don't Surf, and Corduroy. Also slated is a DJ set with Black Meridian.

Sheaffer is the lead singer with both Railroad Earth and From Good Homes, both long time favorites at festivals around the country. Todd takes the stage with a handpicked group of world-class musicians for a one-of-a-kind set built exclusively for Soulstice. Known for his work with Railroad Earth and a career rooted in songwriting, improvisation, and collaboration, Sheaffer has a way of turning a performance into something living and unpredictable. Todd Sheaffer & Friends isn’t a fixed lineup—it’s a curated, all-star collective designed for the moment, with musicians joining in to create a set that won’t be repeated anywhere else. Expect extended jams, deep musical interplay, and the kind of chemistry that only happens when great players are given space to create in real time. This is not a standard headlining set. It’s a collaboration, a session, and a centerpiece performance for the weekend.Built for Soulstice. Only at Soulstice.

Joe Cirotti presents “Hand-picked”. Born out of the Thursday night sessions at Pattenburg House, Handpicked is Joe Cirotti’s ongoing exploration of collaboration, taste, and musical instinct. Each week, Joe invites musicians he respects—players who inspire him, challenge him, and push the sound forward—creating nights that are never repeated and never predictable. For Soulstice, Handpicked expands into a two-part experience. The first set features Joe alongside his flagship trio, featuring Pete Lister and Tim Coyne, grounding the performance in the rich, roots-driven sound he’s known for—tight, improvasional, and deeply musical. From there, the stage opens up. The second set becomes a live curation. Joe steps into the role of architect, bringing together a cast of musicians he’s personally selected—artists who move him creatively and elevate the moment. No fixed lineup. No script. Just a stage full of players listening, responding, and building something in real time. Handpicked is about trust—in the music, in the players, and in the unknown.

Black Meridian (DJ set w/Firespinning). Black Meridian delivers a sonic experience that feels unearthed from another dimension—post-apocalyptic soundscapes that stretch across time and space. This isn’t a traditional DJ set; it’s a transmission. A channel. Layered with ethereal bass, haunting textures, and interdimensional frequencies, the set builds an atmosphere as much as it drives movement. Dark, immersive, and hypnotic, Black Meridian pulls the crowd into a space where rhythm and energy take over and time starts to blur. Not just heard—felt. Not just played—channeled.

Todd Sargent. A country music singer - songwriter from Georgia now hailing from St. Petersburg Florida, his music tells the story of his life. The good - the bad - and the ugly - delivered with humor, heart, and soul. Alongside a wide range of traditional country standards his originals feel lived - in and honest. Often described as a soul singer, with a country accent, he carries a country, gypsy, sometimes pirate vibe that impossible to fake.

The Adventures of Matte Black is a Gothic Americana band led by Madison Gerish & Daniel Skinner, featuring a rotating line-up of their intrepid traveling friends. Madison's philosophical, vulnerable and disarming lyrics dance with Daniel's subtle yet moving melodies, all while leaving space for their talented caravan of musical comrades. The music is rooted in deep improvisation and an emphasis on being courageous when facing the absurdities of life.

Caren Kennedy & Rich Plumpton. CK & RP bring a stripped-down, soul-forward sound rooted in musicianship, chemistry, and connection. Led by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Caren Kennedy, alongside guitarist and vocalist Rich Plumpton, the duo delivers a dynamic acoustic set that feels both intimate and expansive. With layered harmonies, thoughtful arrangements, and a natural ability to move between styles, their performances carry a quiet intensity—drawing listeners in rather than overpowering them. Caren’s versatility across instruments pairs seamlessly with Rich’s expressive guitar work, creating a sound that is rich, textured, and deeply human. Whether reimagining familiar songs or delivering original material, the Caren and Rich capture the essence of what Soulstice is about—authentic music, shared moments, and connection through sound. Simple setup. Deep impact. Built for the Soulstice stage.

Alyce Drive is an alternative rock band out of Upstate South Carolina, channeling decades of sound into one cohesive, high-energy experience. Their music pulls from the deep well of rock history—blending the hazy textures of ‘60s and ‘70s psychedelia, the raw edge of ‘90s grunge, and the drive of modern rock—while carving out a sound that’s entirely their own. Their sets move with intention and range, shifting from atmospheric and immersive to gritty and explosive without losing momentum. It’s not just influence—it’s interpretation. Every transition feels lived-in, every note grounded in the roots of rock but pushed forward with fresh perspective. Alongside reimagined classics, Alyce Drive brings a growing catalog of original music that spans multiple rock subgenres—tight, dynamic, and built for a live audience. There’s a weight to what they do, but also a freedom. No constraints. No box. Step into the sound. Take the ride. This is Alyce Drive.

The Bryan Hansen Band hails from Central New Jersey (it does exist). Their music, as defined by Lenny Green of WBLS, is a soulful concoction dubbed "Blue Eyed Soul," blending funky rhythms with bluesy vibes and soulful melodies. From the Jersey Shore to iconic venues like Bowery Electric NYC and the House of Blues Anaheim, these guys have been Making America Funk Again. They've even graced the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood and been featured at Winter NAMM 2020 & 2024 and SoFar Sounds D.C. & NYC. From their debut EP in 2009 Ebb & Flow EP 2009, the band has released 4 LP's including Brothers Among Wolves 2013, When You Stop Pulling Back 2016, Gas Money 2019 and most recently, Jammin with Dr. Fong LP 2024.  Drawing inspiration from legends like Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews Band, and Victor Wooten, Bryan Hansen Band infuses their music with soulful influences that resonate with audiences. Bryan Hansen Band is proudly endorsed by Godin Guitars and BG France. Check out their latest album, 'Jammin with Dr. Fong' available on all streaming platforms.

Corduroy & Interstellar Jam isn’t a band—it’s a living, breathing experiment in sound. No setlist. No rules. No safety net. Just pure, unfiltered musicianship unfolding in real time. Built around the idea that music should be discovered, not rehearsed, this collective leans fully into improvisation—stretching across genres, textures, and tempos without limitation. One moment it’s deep, hypnotic groove… the next, it’s cosmic chaos. Every set is different. Every moment is earned. Led by Jonas Koep on didgeridoo, effects, and vocals, the sound is grounded in raw, primal energy while pushing into otherworldly territory. Megan Chappius brings ethereal vocals and singing bowl textures that elevate the experience into something almost meditative. On strings, Like Youngman and Gabriie Gonzales trade and layer guitar work that moves from ambient to explosive, while Jarod Richardson locks in on bass to anchor the journey. Bryan Hansen drives it all forward on the kit with instinct and power, and Max Cooper on keys ties everything together with atmosphere, melody, and unexpected turns. This is not a performance you watch—it’s one you step into. No boundaries. No expectations. Just the moment.

Brian Molnar & Slow Rolling Low.  For over a decade Brian Molnar has been carrying his acoustic guitar and wrought melodies across the United States and Europe, connecting audiences with a feeling of American tradition and unique thoughtfulness that has been too often diluted in recent memory. Now, with a new album of traditional songs, Old Paint, and sharing the stage with contemporaries such as Ralph Stanley, Chris Hillman, Bernie Worrell, Garth Hudson, Neal Cassal, and Kinky Friedman, it seems that a genuine Americana resurgence is upon us, with each of Brian’s new releases setting its tone.

The Canning Company is a jam band rooted in Americana and soaked in improvisation. Established 2023 in Clinton, New Jersey, they lean deep into the live experience, stretching songs, chasing grooves, and taking the scenic route every time. They keep it original, but nothing ever stays the same. Every show’s a new conversation, and every night, they crack the jar open and see what spills out.

CC Coletti. She’s known for her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence, developed during her seven-year tenure with Meat Loaf’s Neverland Express World Tours from 2003 to 2011. CC has opened for many notable bands, including The Doobie Brothers, America, Meat Loaf, Marshall Tucker, Al Jardine of the Beach Boys, South Side Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Rick Derringer, The Outlaws, Brett Michaels. Kix, Pat Travers, War, and Smithereens. For this tears soulstice she is putting together s truly special set filled with her originals and coveted cover songs that capture the very essence of what makes CC who she is.

Mike Frank & Friends, hailing from North East PA and North West NJ, take inspiration from their four studio albums of original jam/rock-influenced music and their love for cover songs. The band has had the privilege of opening for renowned acts such as Splintered Sunlight, The Garcia Project, Yarn, Rusted Root, Marco Benevento, Bernie Worrell, and From Good Homes.

Charlie Don’t Surf is a groove-driven, genre-bending jam band built on chemistry, instinct, and a refusal to play anything straight. Formed by longtime collaborators Jeff and Pete of Mobius Strip, the project began with a clear mission: create raw, funky, earth-rooted music that lives in the moment. The missing piece arrived unexpectedly—Andrew, a drummer who walked into their studio on a delivery and walked out as part of the band after an instant, undeniable connection. With the addition of Christian, a fluid, jazz-influenced bassist, the lineup locked in. Their sound lives in the pocket—but never stays there. Charlie Don’t Surf takes familiar songs and reshapes them with deep grooves, flipped rhythms, and improvisation that pushes and pulls at the beat. If it’s not already funky, they make it funky. They call themselves an “original cover band”—not because they follow the script, but because they rewrite it live. Every set is a reinterpretation. Every song is theirs. At its core, Charlie Don’t Surf is about feel, risk, and movement—music that hits hard, breathes freely, and keeps evolving from the first note to the last.

Sunday's musical line-up is headlined by Yarn and includes Dirty Strings Band, Alex Radus Quartet, Bryan Hansen Band, Awen Family Band, Sam Houseal Band, Joy and the Wildfire, Jon Wozniak, Dave Cahill, Hansen & Suddeath, and the Mike Smith Group.

Their 2024 release, Born Blessed, Grateful & Alive, also spent weeks on Americana and Alt.Country radio and appeared on the Grammy ballot for award consideration. Singer and songwriter Blake Christiana leads the band with his guitar and vocals, embodying the music he writes: “The band has officially found something really special over the past couple of years. It feels like we are finally the live band and album-producing band we always set out to be, and the message we are aiming to deliver has also found its foothold.” Alongside Blake, Robert Bonhomme (drums), Rick Bugel (bass), and Andy Thomas (lead guitar) continue to hone Yarn’s live and studio sound, and the band is only getting stronger. Yarn’s annual music and alternative arts festival, Yarnival, celebrated its 5th year in October 2025 with resounding success at Pop’s Farm in Axton, VA, a location that will continue to host the festival for years to come. The band will tour North America in support of Saturday Night Sermon and has already begun writing the next chapter of their evolving sound.

Led by singer - songwriter Bobby Syvarth, the bands sound blends folk, funk, jazz, and reggae, featuring high profile copllaborators like Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth) among others from the jam band and jazz scene. Their music is described as a mix of Americana, Funk, and Indie, frequently performing both originals and reimagined covers like Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" or The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby." Bobby Syvarth is a multifaceted musician who started on a "clandestine" five-string guitar before studying jazz at William Paterson University. This formal training informs the band's high level of technical proficiency.

Alex Radus Quartet. Alex Radus is known as a “versatile crooner” (UMC Nashville) and “skillful fretman” (Morning Call), but his songwriting takes center stage. Known affectionately for his unique brand of “genre whiplash”, Radus pairs whimsical and poignant storytelling with an eclectic mix of Americana, swing, blues, folk and more. Radus hails from Pennsylvania’s artistically rich Lehigh and Delaware river valley region, where he has established himself as one of the area’s premiere original music artists. Most recently, he was selected as a 2024 Falcon Ridge Folk Fest Emerging Artist and voted a “Most Wanted” artist to return to the Main Stage in 2025.

He is a passionate vocalist with a dynamic understanding of songwriting, not to mention an accomplished, monster of a guitar player, spirited entertainer and exciting performer.

The Sam Houseal Band is a Lehigh Valley based folk/americana quintet focused on performing the music of Sam Houseal. Sam is a Pennsylvania-grown musician who’s performed across the world and back. Sam’s music is influenced by his roots in Americana, Rock, and Folk, with a dash of soulful tendencies sprinkled in. Lyrically, Sam has drawn from personal experiences and mainly sings about love and love gone bad, such as on titles like “Time Goes By” and “Wish You Were Here”.  However, you still find story-telling folk-like lines on tunes like “Come In Out Of The Rain”. Sam’s powerful voice and large vocal range is complimented by rich three-part harmonies and soulful lyrics. Combine that with unique catchy hooks, upbeat energy, and the band’s artful instrumentation, and the listeners are engaged from start to finish.

Jon Wozniak. For over a decade, Jon Woz was the house musician at Salt Gastropub in Stanhope, NJ. Jon can take your requests and have you singing along to an ever-expanding catalog ranging from classic rock (Beatles, Tom Petty, Steely Dan, The Band), to '90s and 00's hits (Oasis, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, Mumford), to contemporary hits (Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, The Killers).
