
(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies will launch a new, online book discussion group, “Books for Change,” on November 11th.
The program will begin with a discussion of Deborah Cadbury’s book, The School That Escaped the Nazis, Friday, November 11 at 10:00am. The book describes the extraordinary true story of a courageous school principal who saw the dangers of Nazi Germany in early 1933 and took drastic steps to save her students, faculty, and hundreds of others in harm’s way.
There is no cost to participate in the book discussion program, but registration is required. To register, or for additional information, contact Michelle Edgar at [email protected].
The “Books for Change” series will continue on February 17 at 10:00am with a discussion of Elly Fishman’s Refugee High. Author Elly Fishman will participate in the program.
