(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Pro Arts Jersey City presents "First Impressions" weekends from January 11 to February 7, 2026 in the ART150 Gallery. Exhibiting Artists include: Beth Fisher, Bethany Altschwager, Gao Yuan, Hank Yaghooti, Lauren Libermann, Maggie Hinders, Martin Kasmin. The exhibit is curated by Judy Wukitsch.
"Artists have long served as interpreters of their time, expressing a shared sense of being and place. In First Impressions, the seven artists uphold a recurring theme: the moment. Whether intentional or intuitive, their works capture time, space, or feeling as they are lived. Rooted in human experience or the physical world, these moments invite us to pause and reflect," said Judy Wukitsch in the Curator's Statement.
There will be an Opening Reception on Sunday, January 11 from 1:15-3:00pm. ART150 Gallery is located at 157A First Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. The entrance is on the corner of Provost & 1st. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.
Curators Choice is Pro Arts annual showcase of the top portfolios presented by artists during our Meet The Curators professional development program. MTC is open to member and non-member artists who can select up to three curators/gallerists for one-on-one reviews. At the end of the program, the curators select one artist who they felt presented a top portfolio for the September exhibition.
