(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- School of Rock - The Musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Julian Fellowes comes to Playhouse 22 weekends from November 1-17, 2024.
Based on the Paramount movie with the same name, by Mike White starring Jack Black, the musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors every night with roof-raising energy!
Devin Massih serves as the director, with music direction Liam McGeary and Raven Dunbar as choreographer.
