Playhouse 22 presents "A Merry Little Christmas Carol"

(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The holiday season is in full swing at Playhouse 22 with "A Merry Little Christmas Carol". This is a new take on the old Charles Dickens classic by Mark Shanahan and directed by Erik Hall. Performances run weekends from December 12-21, 2025.

With an ensemble cast of four surrounding Ebeneezer Scrooge as he embarks on the unforgettable journey of his past, his present and an uncertain future.   A great event to kick off the holidays for the whole family. The cast included Christopher Guild as "Ebeneezer Scrooge" with Sami DeSocio, Francisco Mestres, Erica Stuppler, and Jillian Wagner.

"A Merry Little Christmas Carol" runs December 12–21 with performances on Friday evenings at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 2:00pm & 8:00pm, and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are $24/adults and $22/seniors and student and are available on the theater's website at Playhouse22.org or by calling the Box Office at (732) 254-3939. The playhouse is conveniently located at the Elliott Taubenslag Theater at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Playhouse 22 is East Brunswick's award-winning and critically-acclaimed non-profit community theater troupe since 1958.  Driven and run by all volunteers, Playhouse 22 produces and stages four mainstage and three black-box shows as well as an annual holiday show every season.
