October Ensemble presents the World Premiere of "Oh Sh*t, Sherlock!"

originally published: 03/05/2026

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- October Ensemble presents the World Premiere of Oh Sh*t, Sherlock! weekends from March 20 to April 12, 2026 at The Jersey Shore Arts Center. The actor playing Sherlock has never seen the script. Hilarity ensues as the rest of the cast tries to keep the mystery on track!

Oh Sh*t, Sherlock! is a brand new original comedy by playwright Elle Michael River (Murder, Magic & Mead, The Sweetest Crime) based on the classic mysteries by Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. The twist? The actor playing Sherlock has never seen the script or attended a rehearsal! Absolute hilarity ensues as the rest of the cast try to keep the mystery on track while Sherlock barrels forward on pure comedic instinct alone.

Every performance is different! Every decision is questionable! And no one knows what Sherlock will do next!

The cast includes Dakota Reider as Dr. John Watson; Elle River and Brandon Gulya as everyone else; and a different actor as Sherlock every night.

Performances are Fridays at 7:00pm & 9:00pm; Saturdays at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 7:00pm & 9:00pm; and Sundays at 3:00pm & 5:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The show is open to those 21 and up. BYOB. The theater is located at 66 S. Main Street (third floor) in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.

Oh Sh*t, Sherlock! features intimate cafe seating at their mini cocktail tables. After you purchase tickets, seats will be reserved for you and your party. Every pair of seats has a cocktail table in between, perfect for your beverage(s) of choice! If you have attended past shows with them, please note this event does not feature their full sized cafe tables and is not Bring Your Own Food.

Set in the intimate October Ensemble Theater, this BYOB event seats audiences close to the action at mini cocktail tables. Grab your favorite bottle of wine and watch the mystery unravel in real time.

The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

NOTE: Patrons who become overly intoxicated will be asked to leave and removed from the premises by security staff. Please drink responsibly. They take this very seriously.

October Ensemble is a New Jersey-based production company that creates story-driven, high-quality shows and events, with a focus on immersive, fourth-wall-breaking productions unchained from the traditional stage.
