(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) hosts “Concert for the Animals” on Saturday, August 26 at 7:00pm. This is a charity rock concert featuring indie international recording artists The New Bardōts, The Grip Weeds, and Leather Catsuit - performing their indie-charting songs, and more from their latest releases.
There will be a cash bar and 50/50. Proceeds to benefit the Plainfield Area Humane Society and Non-Kill Shelter. Help save stray, sick, and un-homed, injured animals and find forever homes for all domestic guests of the shelter.
The New Bardōts – The New Bardōts are on a mission to keep rock and roll alive with their no gimmick, no auto-tune, straight-ahead rock and roll that will not disappoint. Just off the release of their new LP, Gar Francis, Wayne Olivieri, Dan Skye, Johnny Rago, and John Croot, Jr. are five New Jersey veteran rockers out to save rock and roll from extinction.
The Grip Weeds - A powerhouse pop-psyche band extraordinaire who write insanely gripping melodic nuggets- a gorgeous alchemy of the '60s and '70s brought into the 21st century, with ripping guitars, explosive drumming, and golden harmonies. Leather Catsuit - This project is the culmination of 30 years of being immersed in music, and all of the friends and relationships built over the years. Leather Catsuit creator and front person Kim Olin rocks out with hard-hitting, beat-driven tunes that want to make you get up and dance.
