The New Jersey based band Mirrors On The Moon released a video for “Don’t Panic” on July 18, 2023. This is the follow-up to their recently released single, “Get Lost”. Both songs are from the band’s upcoming debut album slated for release later this year.

"Don't Panic" is an esoteric love letter from songwriter Donny Dykowsky to his wife and written while they both were in quarantine with COVID19. Reminiscent of the Beatles and Bowie in its production and form, this song was recorded and produced at Dykowsky's home studio just outside of NYC and features Donny on vocals/guitars, Freddy Pastore on bass (Chesterwhite), John Hummel on drums (Lady Gaga), and Dave Archer on keys (UNI and the Urchins).

Folk N Rock Magazine says, “From the moment this song begins, it envelopes you in its vintage charm…’Get Lost’ is a nostalgic and mesmerizing track that perfectly captures the spirit of the psychedelic rock genre.” While Dancing About Architecture said it’s “…a heady, hazy acid-fueled vibe, ‘Get Lost’ is the bridge between the likes of Jefferson Airplane and the modern indie sound, between the Summer of Love and the 21st-century underground rock sound…groovy man!”

The accompanying video features a trippy series of disturbing and heartwarming images set to the pupils of eyes. It was directed by award-winning creative Adam Reeves, edited by Ivan Shumaker, and produced by Powderbox.

We gain perspective through music. It scrapbooks different seasons of our lives and recalls our most formative moments with the crucial benefit of hindsight. You can trace the unbelievable journey of singer, songwriter, and producer Dykowsky via his successive sonic identities. After surviving cancer, weathering toxic relationships, falling in love, getting married, and becoming a father, Dykowsky has arrived on the other side with a vulnerable, yet vital and vibrant voice with his new band Mirrors On The Moon.

“I just try to find the truth and set it to music,” he says. “And my truth is different now than from a hospital bed or toxic relationships. At the same time, I have a 30,000-foot perspective on where I’ve been, and I can find peace in the journey. These songs have a certain weight to them, and hopefully, the performance is sincere enough that you can find truth in them as well.”
