The magic of Local Summer has been captured by Asbury Park singer-songwriter Blaise with his new single and video, “Tan Lines.”
His label debut for Shore Points Records is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Tan Lines” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin, Mixcloud and RadioJersey.net.
“This song is inspired by the magic and sensuality of summer,” Blaise said. “The warmth of the sun on your skin, the smell of salt in your hair, everything and anything summer inspired this song. It’s celebrates the lust that summer brings out of all of us, and sounds like the last summer days spent on the beach.”
Blaise wrote the song with Samaera and producer Randy Class. “Tan Lines” was recorded at Asbury’s Lakehouse Recording Studios, a sister company of Shore Point.
The video was directed, filmed and edited by Russ Roe with creative direction by Blaise.
Mixing pop, alternative and R&B sounds with striking and thought-provoking visuals, Blaise has created a complete and fully immersive world all his own.
He will share that world when he helps kick off Sea.Hear.Now, Asbury Park’s annual music ‘n’ surf festival, with the There Goes the Neighborhood show on Sept. 12 at the Wonder Bar. Sharing the bill will be Jarod Clemons and Echo Plum.
