Singer-songwriter Jason Didner's first single and title track from his forthcoming "Digital Carnival" LP is the Makin Waves Song of the Week

Step right up! Hear singer-songwriter Jason Didner hold up a funhouse mirror to our online world!

On his upcoming album, “Digital Carnival,” Jason satirizes the absurdities of today's technology in the hopes of piercing big tech's power over your mind and heart. The LP’s title track and first single and video is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Digital Carnival” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on March 8 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin and Mixcloud.

"This is not science fiction," Jason observed. "Social media moguls spend their vast wealth on space travel. An artificial intelligence chatbot professed its love for a journalist and urged him to leave his wife. Foreign adversaries do more harm to democracies with an online flood of disinformation than with armies. Role-playing gaming companies constantly urge kids to hit up their parents for in-app purchases and monthly subscriptions. All of this is grist for the mill.”

Jason’s fifth LP will drop on April 19 and will be celebrated with a release party that he will announce soon. In the meantime, Jason will play with his backing band, The Drive, on April 5 in The Listening Booth at The Asbury hotel. Tommy Strazza and Dano will share the Megan O’Shea-promoted bill.
