The Philadelphia-based rock 'n' roll artist Low Cut Connie released "Little Freakers," the second song to be released from his forthcoming protest album Livin in the USA that will be released on July 3 via Contender Records. The new single arrives alongside the announcement of a handful of full-band summer tour dates in Denver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more.

He will celebrate the release of the album on Friday, July 3 with a concert supporting Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul at Park Stage, the new venue at The East Freehold Park Showgrounds in Freehold, New Jersey. Jake Clemons Band, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers with Gary U.S. Bonds, and The Weeklings are also on the bill.

About the new song, Weiner explains: "There is so much to be depressed about in America 2026, but one of the things that gives me hope is seeing young Gen Z'ers expressing their diversity and protesting fascism using art. In previous generations they might have been called misfits, hippies or radicals - I call them the Little Freakers. They are our best hope for a future America that is open and not boring - a society that is vibrant, diverse and free. Let's act up, kids! That's what is on my mind with this song, and with my whole new protest album."

In January, Weiner announced Livin in the USA with a statement to social media about the impetus for writing a protest album and released the title track "Livin in the USA." Rolling Stone said, "Livin in the USA is as much about partying as it is about protesting injustice," while Classic Rock Magazine called it "A soulful, piano-thumping fuck-you to the ruling political machinery and tech bro class of his motherland." Jim Derogatis and Greg Kot also included the song in their discussion of "Modern Protest Songs" on Sound Opinions.

Weiner is a rock & roll artist from Philadelphia who has released 7 studio albums under the name Low Cut Connie. Since forming in 2010, Low Cut Connie has earned a devoted fanbase that includes President Barack Obama, Sir Elton John and Bruce Springsteen.
