Admiral Art Hotel - Just steps away from the Adriatic, along a row of what feels like hundreds of different hotels, burning brightly on a corner lot, the Hotel Admiral offers something else along with its comforts, food, drink and water views. The celebration of rock'n'roll and art here is incredible. A gallery of paintings and sculptures in the lobby, individually decorated rooms and the floor to ceiling murals in the stairwells sets a different tone for these accommodation.
I may or may not have mentioned the dining room in my last post with its custom rainforest wallpapering, stage with a baby grand views of the water, inside and outside seating and oh yeah, killer sound tracks.
At breakfast, the under the larger score of pumped in bird song, which seemed to work here, bits and pieces of other classic albums were fading in and out including some of Pink Floyds earlier work. At lunch, I was treated to the entire Blood on the Tracks from Dylan as well as The Beatles' Abbey Road. So with each room a different experience, the music always solid, the food good and the location perfect, this is exactly where I want to stay if I am invited to perform in Rimini again.

By the way, I never figured out what was with the giant orange snail outside the front entrance or it's little cousin in the gallery, maybe I didn't want to know? Who knows? So feel free to email me over at jamesdaltonjr@gmail.com with your own thoughts on the matter, or if you have any questions, comments or complaints. Ciao for now, as the beach is calling and it's time for a swim before the gig tonight!
