(LEONIA, NJ) -- Gallery Episode presents "Sublime Moments: Our Lives," a solo exhibition featuring Korean-American photography artist Daihan Jeong from May 6-13, 2024. With this exhibition, Daihan Jeong hopes to offer visitors a chance to find beauty in the unexpected.  There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, May 7 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

After moving to the United States at a young age and receiving inspiration from the cityscapes of New York City, Jeong pursued his passion in photography – gaining a BFA from Stony Brook University. His exploration of black and white photography and still-life subjects garnered attention in two online exhibitions, showcasing his ability to evoke emotion and capture intricate details. “Sublime Moments: Our Lives” is a collection of photographs that not only explore – but celebrate – the extraordinary in the ordinary.

As a street photographer, Daihan Jeong is on a quest to reveal the hidden poetry of everyday life. Inspired by the concept of the decisive moment, popularized by the master Henri Cartier-Bresson, his work delves into the fleeting instants that often go unnoticed in the cacophony of modern living. In this fast-paced world, it's all too easy to overlook the moments of magic that surround life. Yet, amidst the chaos, there exists a quiet elegance waiting to be discovered—a fleeting glance, a shared smile, a dance of light and shadow. These are the sublime moments that define our existence, offering glimpses of transcendence in the midst of the mundane.
