Flemington DIY presents Tell Us Everything! Real People Telling Real Stories

(FLEMINGTON, NJ) -- Flemington DIY presents Tell Us Everything! - Real People Telling Real Stories on Thursday, August 11 from 7:00pm-9:00pm. The storytellers include Joey Novick (the host of the night), John "Gemini" Lombardi, Christopher Korbel, Janet Quartarone, and Lily Asch.

This monthly storytelling features real people telling real stories. Real stories that are told, not read. Storytellers connect with the audience with no pages between them! The stories will make you laugh, make you think, and maybe even more...

If you’re inspired by the stories you hear, you’re invited to tell your own story for up to two minutes in Two Minute Tales at the end of the show.

Tickets are $10-$15 and available for purchase online. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Flemington DIY is located at 26 Stangl Road in Flemington, New Jersey.

Joey Novick, Producer/Host, Joey Novick has been a political comedian, camp counselor, editorial director, attorney, busboy, radio show host, professional speaker, child actor and an elected official in New Jersey – but not necessarily in that order. He’s a professional stand-up comedian with appearances on MTV, Comedy Central and Rascal’s Comedy Hour. Joey has appeared at hundreds of comedy clubs across the US and Canada, and opened in concert at comedy clubs for Jerry Seinfeld, Robert Klein, David Brenner, Lewis Black, and Paul Reiser.

John “Gemini” Lombardi was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. With his quick sense of humor and witty personality, he decided to start performing at the young age of eleven. He took his act to streets of New York City, where his only audience was a crowd of passersby and neighbors. With his energetic charisma and quick wit, he brought the crowd to tears of laughter. It was then he began his professional career in comedy. He’s headlined the top comedy clubs like the Borgata in AC.

Christopher Korbel was born and raised on in Manhattan and now lives in Los Angeles. He received his MA in Theatre Arts from Mason Gross- Rutgers University. He is a produced playwright and public speaking coach. He regularly performs in storytelling shows both in LA and New York City. He produces a monthly storytelling show at the Lexington bar in Downtown LA.

Janet Quartarone is the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the SHAKESPEARE 70 Theatre Company. Like many Company members, Janet is an alum of The College of New Jersey. She studied with Uta Hagen’s protégé Carol Rosenfeld at HB Studio. She is a member of AEA & SAG-AFTRA, and is a Simulator, V.P., and Director of Marketing with SIMULATIONS, Inc. Janet made her first appearance with Shakespeare ‘70 in its production of A Woman of No Importance. She serves as Executive Director on the company’s Executive Committee, and is a member of the Artistic Committee.

Lily Asch is a social entrepreneur, storyteller and mental health advocate. She began Real Talk in 2016 after giving a talk with TEDx about her own lived experiences. She is a firm believer that everyone possess creativity and that its a vital tool for wellbeing. Lily has a wide ranging set of skills and interests, with themes of empathy, creativity and playfulness tying it all together. She is about to complete her storytelling apprentice at the Scottish Storytelling Centre. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Skills, graduated from the Good Ideas Academy and holds a BSc in Ecological and Environmental Sciences.



FLEMINGTON DIY (Do It Yourself) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide an inclusive art space that engages the community with the burgeoning local arts scene, inspires social change, and invigorates the economic development of Flemington, New Jersey.
