
(VINELAND, NJ) -- Cumberland Players presents The Importance of Being Earnest from March 6-8, 2026. Oscar Wilde's classic is a delight from the first cucumber sandwich on as Jack's double life catches up with him.
The problems are resolved in an extremely charming and quite unexpected way as Jack and Algernon discover the importance of being earnest while answering to the name of Ernest.
The cast includes Tyler Davis (Algernon Moncrieff), Maura Mather Jarve (Gwendolen Fairfax), Nicko Chryssomitis (Jack Worthing), Allie Ferguson (Cecily Cardew), Shaun Laurencio (Lady Bracknell), Bobbi Kukal (Miss Prism), Dan Safeer (Rev. Canon Chasuble D.D.), Robert Williamson (Lane), and Bradley Marcus (Merriman).

Performances take place Friday, March 6 at 8:00pm; Saturday, March 7 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sunday, March 8 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 66 East Sherman Avenue in Vineland, New Jersey.
Cumberland Players began in 1946 as the Little Theatre of Vineland. As an organization of volunteers, they pride ourselves on the ability to give back to the community through scholarship opportunities for high school seniors in their area. Their mission is to bring diverse, thought-provoking, and engaging community theatre to Vineland and beyond.
