Lazlo, founder of BlowUpRadio.com (an online radio station based around New Jersey artists), shines a light on some of the many new releases from NJ based musicians each week with this column. This week Lazlo takes a look at releases by Pillowinde, decks, Bobby Syvarth, Southpaw, and Jonathan Tea.

Pillowinde - "Jets to Brunswick". "I open up with, I'm scared of everything and I feel like I'm going nowhere", are the opening lyrics to the lead off track ("prettier now") on Pillowinde's debut album, "Jets to Brunswick".

Yep, there are some very personal lyrics on this album. They are also wrapped around some indie-alt-rock hooks that immediately pulled me.

This album is wonderful from beginning to end.

Why are you still reading this review. Go! Listen to the album!

decks - "learning to lose". decks's EP, "learning to lose" is a win if you want to hear some good emo music!

Bobby Syvarth - "I Like (feat. Elliott Peck) PineBox Studio Version". I like the laid back Americana/Alt-Country vibe of Bobby Syvarth's new single, "I Like".

Southpaw - "Three More Hours". Southpaw may be the most consistently fun country band in NJ. Their upbeat country rock is instantly catchy, with choruses that I am unable to keep from singing along with. Their latest single, "Three more Hours", is just one of many examples.

Jonathan Tea - "Never Give Up On Us". Jonathan Tea's latest single, "Never Give Up On Us", is type of song that should rule Adult Alternative radio format. Singer-songwriter vocals mixed with some catchy mid-tempo music... instead of me trying to describe how lovely this song is, go listen to it for yourself.

That's all for this week.

Remember BlowUpRadio.com, plays these and many other New Jersey based artists on our internet radio station, so please check us out. #SupportGoodMusic - If you like any of the above artists, please purchase their music from their site.
