(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Juan Fernando Velasco on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 8:00pm. Juan stands as a preeminent figure in Ecuadorian pop music, having significantly shaped the musical landscape of his native country over the past quarter-century.

With the distinction of being nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Awards, securing an Emmy win, and amassing a plethora of gold and platinum records attesting to his exceptional sales, Velasco has firmly established himself both domestically and internationally as a foremost exponent of his craft.

Since embarking on his solo career in 1999 with the release of his inaugural album, Velasco has consistently ascended the ranks of popularity charts, with enduring hits such as "Para que no me olvides," “Déjame", and "Chao Lola" resonating across diverse generations, imprinting themselves into the collective consciousness of listeners. Moreover, his conceptual endeavors, exemplified by albums such as "Con todo el alma" and “Misquilla", which pay tribute to Ecuadorian "pasillos," along with his latest offering, “POPular", a compendium of his greatest hits reinterpreted through regional musical lenses, have enjoyed unprecedented commercial success and critical acclaim.

Tickets range from $39-$89 and are available for purchase online or by calling the Box Office (201) 227-1030. Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) is located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.

Beyond his solo ventures, Velasco's illustrious career has been further enriched by collaborations with luminaries of the music industry, including Franco de Vita, Fonseca, Andrés Cepeda, and many others. Most recently, he unveiled "Mi amigo el dolor”, the lead single from his forthcoming pop opus slated for release in 2024, marking a poignant milestone as he celebrates 25 years as a soloist. As anticipation mounts for this upcoming endeavor, Velasco's enduring legacy continues to resonate, promising audiences a musical journey defined by innovation, artistry, and unwavering excellence.
