Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "Fiddler on the Roof"

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents the classic musical, Fiddler on the Roof from April 6-21, 2024. A journey of love, loss, faith and family, Fiddler on the Roof is a celebration of life and all its challenges. The original production won ten Tony Awards, including a special Tony for becoming the longest-running Broadway musical of all time.

The Algonquin Arts Theatre production of Fiddler On The Roof is based on Sholem Aleichem stories by special permission of Arnold Perl. It features a Book by Joseph Stein, Music by Jerry Bock, and Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Featuring the Broadway classics "Tradition," "If I Were a Rich Man," "Sunrise, Sunset," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" and "To Life," Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!

Fiddler on the Roof was produced on the New York Stage by Harold Prince.  The original New York production was directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins. Original choreography reproduced by Kathleen Pearlberg.

Algonquin Arts Theatre (AAT) is a 501c(3) non-profit center for performing arts, providing cultural enrichment and arts education for residents and visitors of Central New Jersey and the Jersey Shore through high quality performances and programs in theatre, music, dance and film. Located in Manasquan, N.J., AAT is an integral part of the Shore region, offering broad access to arts experiences across multiple disciplines.
