Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre presents Feria de Sevilla

(WOODBRIDGE, NJ) -- Join New Jersey's premier Spanish & Flamenco Dance Company, the critically acclaimed Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 2:30pm to 6:00pm (rain date: Sunday, June 9) as it transports you, your friends and family to the famous Spanish fair, La Feria de Sevilla at the Parker Press Park. Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors, sights, sounds, tastes and smells of Spain.  Admission to this colorful and exciting festival is free!

The Feria de Sevilla is a weeklong festival in Seville, Spain, where the local population gathers to celebrate their vibrant culture. Alborada recreates this special event with its own Feria de Sevilla. As part of the Woodbridge Family Cultural Event Series and opened by Mayor John E. McCormac, this event not only celebrates Spain's unique cultural heritage with New Jersey flair, but also provides an enjoyable family oriented event for all ages.

Enjoy an afternoon of colorful costumes, flying ruffles, clicking castanets, stomping feet and spontaneous dancing throughout the park of the traditional Sevillanas; plus main stage Flamenco dance performances by Alborada’s professional company accompanied by live guitar, cajon and Flamenco singer; all while you feast on delicious foods including: paella and sangria and shop for traditional Spanish items for sale.

Food vendors include: Maglione’s Food Truck, Lola’s Latin Bistro, Havana Central, Flirty Desserts.

Special Activities include: Learn How to Workshops: Twirl a Spanish Fan – Play Castanets – Play Cajon – Dance Flamenco. Get Creative: Arts and Crafts Activities. Just for fun: Face Painting, Tarot Card Readings.
