The Summit Playhouse presents "The Minutes"
 

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse presents The Minutes by Tracy Letts from October 13-28, 2023. This scathing new comedy about small-town politics and real-world power, from the author of August: Osage County, exposes the ugliness behind some of our most closely-held American narratives while asking each of us what we would do to keep from becoming history's losers.

 



Center Players to Open Season with "Steel Magnolias"
 

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Center Players will begin its 2023-24 season with a Signature Series production of the enduringly popular Steel Magnolias. The comedic drama will run weekends from October 13 to November 5, 2023 at Center Playhouse at 35 South Street in downtown Freehold.

 



Bordentown Regional High School presents "Trap"
 

(BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The suspense thriller Trap by Stephen Gregg will be presented on October 20th and 21st at 7:30pm at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. The play, which will be performed by the award-winning theatre students of Bordentown Regional High School, takes place in Menachap, California, an incomprehensible event occurs: every person in the audience of a play falls unconscious--every person but one.

 



George Street Playhouse presents "The Pianist"
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents The Pianist, a play with music, based on the memoir "The Pianist" by Wladyslaw Szpilman and directed and adapted for the stage by Emily Mann (Broadway: A Streetcar Named Desire, Having Our Say, Anna and the Tropics). The Pianist begins previews on September 26, with an official opening night set for September 29. The play runs through October 22.

Wharton Arts Announces 2023-24 Season
 

(BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ) -- Wharton Arts, New Jersey's largest independent non-profit performing arts education center, announces its 2023-24 season dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in performing arts education. Using a thoughtful combination of animation and live-action, Bode’s visuals grasp the viewers’ attention, allowing them to hone in on a touching story of power, queer identity, and liberation from social norms.

American Repertory Ballet to Open Season with "Elevate"
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- American Repertory Ballet (ARB) announces the opening of its spellbinding 2023-24 season - "Elevate" - at the state-of-the-art New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC), October 13-15. The program features world premieres by celebrated choreographers Stephanie Martinez and Meredith Rainey, along with the return of ARB Artistic Director Ethan Stiefel's rousing Wood Work, set to modern renditions of Nordic folk tunes by the Danish String Quartet. Plus, Stiefel will create a new solo set to "If I Could Only Fly" by American singer-songwriter and poet Blaze Foley.

2023 Bergen County Fall Harvest Festival takes place this weekend
 

(HACKENSACK, NJ) – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, III the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Bergen County, and the Bergen County Department of Parks & Recreation invite the public to celebrate the beginning of autumn with the 2023 annual Bergen County Fall Harvest Festival. The festival will take place on Friday, September 22 – Sunday, September 24, at Overpeck County Park (199 Challenger Rd, Ridgefield Park). Parking and admission are free.
