originally published: 09/20/2023

(HACKENSACK, NJ) – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, III the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Bergen County, and the Bergen County Department of Parks & Recreation invite the public to celebrate the beginning of autumn with the 2023 annual Bergen County Fall Harvest Festival. The festival will take place on Friday, September 22 – Sunday, September 24, at Overpeck County Park (199 Challenger Rd, Ridgefield Park). Parking and admission are free.

The Fall Harvest Festival has been an autumn staple in Bergen County for years and for the very time, the festival will take place at Overpeck County Park. The event will feature 4-H and Master Gardener displays and exhibits, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, local farm vendors, live music, educational and hands-on activities for children, carnival games and rides, and more!

The event will feature two performances by notable New Jersey musicians:

On Saturday, September 23 at 2:00pm, singer-songwriter and band leader Larry Stevens will take the stage at The Amphitheater at Overpeck County Park. Stevens has performed all over the country and with top acts such as Kenny Loggins, Foreigner, Blood Sweat and Tears, and more. Known for his signature blend of rock, pop, folk, and country, Stevens’ performance is going to be a highlight of the fall!

On Sunday, September 24 at 2:00pm, guitarist Matt Chertkoff and legendary saxophonist Houston Person will take the stage at The Amphitheater at Overpeck County Park. Chertkoff has performed around the world with the best in the jazz business, including Freddy Cole and Cecil Brooks. Person is a musician, bandleader, and promoter, who has recorded more than 75 albums as bandleader. His work with long-time collaborator, Etta Jones, holds a revered place in music history.
