Dunbar Repertory Company presents "American Menu" at Middletown Arts Center (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- Dunbar Repertory Company at the Middletown Arts Center presents American Menu by Don Wilson Glenn, over two weekends, May 17-19 and May 24-26, 2024. The production, directed by Mark Antonio Henderson and Damien S. Berger, tells the story of five women working in the kitchen of a segregated diner in a Texas town, circa May 1968.
Carteret PAC Annouces 2024 Central Jersey Marquee Award Nominations (CARTERET, NJ) -- The URSB Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center has announced the nominations and honorable mentions for the 2024 Carteret PAC Central Jersey Marquee Awards, Honoring Excellence in Middlesex and Somerset Counties High School Musical Theatre. The Marquee Awards will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 7:30pm, at the new Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center.
American Theater Group Announces "Canned Goods" Thursday Talkback Sessions (RAHWAY, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) will present talkback sessions after the Thursday, May 9th and 16th evening performances of the provocative new play, Canned Goods, by Erik Kahn. The World Premiere production is running May 9-11 at Hamilton Stage in Rahway, NJ and May 16-19 at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge, NJ. Charlotte Cohn is directing the production.

The Scottish-born singer-songwriter has released nearly 20 introspective and lyrically powerful records. His biggest platinum successes, “Year Of The Cat” and “Time Passages”, were released in 1976 and 1978 respectively.
Clinton Hill Community Action Celebrates the 1st Anniversary of the ArtsXchange in Newark (NEWARK, NJ) -- Clinton Hill Community Action (CHCA) proudly hosted the first-anniversary celebration of the ArtsXchange on April 30, 2024. This night of culture recognized one year of a spectacular partnership with NJPAC celebrating arts programming in Clinton Hill. This collaboration spawned the arts and creative placemaking department at CHCA, and ArtsXChange was the first joint effort with Clinton Hill Community Action & the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Westminster Conservatory of Music observes Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month with May 19 faculty recital (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory of Music will present the concert, Celebrating Asian and Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7:30pm. The concert features nine Conservatory faculty members of APA heritage as they perform music that represents the nation of their background. It will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.
The Newton Theatre presents Jim Messina (NEWTON, NJ) -- Few musical artists résumés list membership in a band inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; fewer still can lay claim to being a founding member of the seminal band credited with creating Country Rock; and only one artist can include all the above in addition to being one half of the most successful duos of the 1970s: Jim Messina. He's been a member of Buffalo Springfield and would go on to form the band Poco and then Loggins & Messina with Kenny Loggins.

Westminster Conservatory at Nassau ends season on May 16 with "Songs from the Winding Road of Love" (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The current season of Westminster Conservatory at Nassau will conclude on Thursday, May 16, 2024 with Songs from the Winding Road of Love, a recital performed by Westminster Conservatory faculty members Susan Gaylord, mezzo soprano; and Larissa Korkina, piano.The recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church (61 Nassau Street) in Princeton. The event is open to the public free of charge. Showtime is 12:15pm.

The convention will be attended by hundreds of clubwomen from 174 local federated clubs across the state, who will gather to vote on key organizational issues, support motions for legislation, and celebrate New Jersey women of achievement. This year's theme is "Federation: A Sisterhood of Friendship."

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Following the resounding success of "Por Amor a Ustedes World Tour" in 2023, the multi-award-winning Mexican singer-songwriter Ana Gabriel celebrates 50 years of an artistic career with "UN DESEO MÁS TOUR 2024", with which she has conquered several cities in Mexico and Latin America since the beginning of this year, and now she is preparing for her tour through more than 25 cities in the United States and Canada starting in September. The tour begins on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Prudential Center in Newark.
