The Broadway Lecture Series at Stageworks to feature Jennifer Holliday
 

(POMPTON LAKES, NJ) -- "One Night Only!" Tony & Grammy Winning Legend Jennifer Holliday comes to Pompton Lakes on Saturday, April 15th at to share stories and advice from her 40+ long career as part of "The Broadway Lecture Series at Stageworks." This series, created by Robert Bannon, is an ongoing chance to get up close and personal with some of Broadway's Best. Showtime is 7:00pm.

 



The Black Box Spring 2023 Staged Reading Series
 

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- From April 13th through April 30th, The Black Box presents an eclectic series of new and under-produced plays, many at the start of the "incubation" process! These dynamic staged readings will be on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - all starting at 8:00pm, The location is the new Black Box loft space, located at 8 East Palisade Avenue, 2nd Floor, between Van Brunt and Dean Streets.

The Discovery Orchestra Returns with 6th National Television Special
 

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Discovery Orchestra, the Emmy®-nominated New Jersey ensemble that has introduced millions around the world to the pleasures of listening to classical music, will release its sixth national television special this spring. Discover Saint-Saëns' "Organ" Symphony, an aural journey through the Finale of French composer Camille Saint-Saëns' tour de force Symphony No. 3, will have its television premiere on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00am, on The WNET Group's ALL ARTS.

Union County to Host Film Ready NJ Workshop
 

(UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Union County Board of County Commissioners invites local municipalities, including police and fire departments, to participate in the new Film Ready New Jersey workshop on Friday, April 14 from 8:30am to 1:30pm at Kean University, 1000 Morris Avenue in Union Township. The workshop is a certification and marketing initiative of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission (NJMPTVC), in partnership with the Commissioner Board and the Union County Motion Picture & Television Advisory Board.

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center is honored to present the American Watercolor Society's 155th Annual International Traveling Exhibition (2022-23) from April 1-29, 2023. One of the most revered watercolor showcases in the world, AWS's 155th Annual Exhibition was held at New York City's Salmagundi Club in April 2022, and displayed 140 paintings from artists around the country and the globe, selected by a panel of highly prestigious AWS Signature Members.
