Salute to Women in the Arts presents "Favorites" at Riverside Gallery

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Salute To Women In the Arts is presenting an inclusive art exhibition at Riverside Gallery in Hackensack.  Thirty seven women artists will be showing a varied collection of their artwork. There will be sixty artworks including works on paper, oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture and mixed media.  “Favorites” at the Riverside Gallery will be on exhibit from September 13-29, 2022.

Members of Salute To Women In the Arts live and work in townships throughout Bergen County, including: Teaneck, Leonia, Hackensack, Englewood, Fort. Lee, Wyckoff, Glen Rock, Bergenfield, Demarest, Township of Washington, Mahwah, Oakland, North Haledon, River Edge, Cliffside Park, Upper Saddle River, Norwood, Tenafly, Englewood Cliffs, and Emerson.

In this exhibit titled "Favorites," the artists were challenged to choose a piece of art that they considered special. The result is a wide ranging exhibition of paintings, prints, mixed media, abstract and representational work that we hope will excite and inspire artists and art lovers alike.

An opening reception will take place on Saturday, 17,  2022 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. The public is invited to meet the artists.

The Riverside Gallery is located in The Shops at Riverside (Riverside Square} One Riverside Square, Suite 201, in Hackensack, New Jersey. The gallery is open 10:00am - 7:00pm Monday -Saturday, closed Sunday.

In 1974 a group of concerned artists created Salute to Women in The Arts, seeing a need for an organization that would represent women artists in northern New Jersey.  Today Salute is an active organization where members create art using a variety of themes and media.  As an art cooperative, members meet for critiques and lectures and hold group exhibitions.   Salute member artists support each other and strive to constantly to create work at the highest level.

(MADISON, NJ) -- New York-based artist, educator, choreographer, and self-described "Renaissance Man" Geoffrey Doig-Marx (GDM) brings his dynamic exhibition Portraits in Color and Light to The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey as the second art installation in the Theatre's 2025 Season. This striking collection of twenty-six original paintings debuts with the Theatre's production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], running July 9–27. It's a pairing that promises a bold celebration of irreverence, reflection, and artistic energy.

Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents Laurelton Art Society Exhibition

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Works by members of one of New Jersey's venerable art associations will be on display throughout the month of June in the Ocean County Library Toms River Branch. The Laurelton Art Society Exhibition will occupy the Second Floor Gallery, June 9 through July 29, 2025.

Union County presents "Art of All Abilities Exhibit" in Celebration of Disability Pride Month

(ELIZABETH, NJ) -- July is Disability Pride Month, and in recognition of the occasion, the Union County Board of County Commissioners invites residents to visit the 2025 Art for All Abilities Exhibit. This special exhibit features 20 original works created by Union County residents of all abilities and will be on display throughout the month of July at the Commissioner's Gallery.
