(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts and Design department will present a student theatre production of Qui Nguyen’s She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition from March 29 to April 1. Performances take place at 7:00pm each night. The production, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be staged in RVCC’s Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.
Directed by Dennis Russo, the play tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge.
Set and lighting design is by David Porter and Kenny Savoy. Sound design is by Matthew Sheehan. The cast and crew include: Jules Stephenson (Bridgewater; Marcus Hernandez (Hackettstown); Jule Guerrero Moran (Bound Brook); Kelly Deo (Califon); Rachel Calderon Montes (Zarephath); Marcus Donegan (Branchburg); Genevieve Tenney (Montgomery); Jimena Torres (North Plainfield); Ashley Cabral (Peapack); Alexander Foreman (Pittstown); Liam Donnelly (Basking Ridge; and Israel Garcia (South Bound Brook).
Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, New Jersey.
