(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse will present The Adams Family (July 7-10) and Spring Awakening (July 22-31) this summer. They will be asking all patrons to wear a mask during performances.
The Addams Family (Young@Part) runs July 7-10, 2022. A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family! Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love. Wednesday confides in her father and now Gomez Addams must keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. The production is directed by Matthew Green; Musical Direction by Natalie Pereira; and Choreographed by Anna Jeffries.
Spring Awakening runs July 22-31, 2022. The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, told by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. Join this group of late nineteenth century German students on their passage as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming-of-age anxiety in a daring and powerful celebration of youth and rebellion. Directed by Matthew Green and Musical Direction by Kyle Cao.
