originally published: 11/07/2018

World Premiere Workshop Presentation of "Transgender Stillborn" To Take Place At Surflight Theatre(BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- The World Premiere workshop presentation of Nicholas Kaminski’s original musical Transgender Stillborn will be held at Surflight Theatre on November 11 at 5:0pm. Featuring a book, music, lyrics and orchestrations by Kaminski, Transgender Stillborn is a musical science fiction romp through the cosmos, set in the year 1979.  The reading will be free and open to the public.

A tale of love, friendship, adventure and self-discovery, our transgender hero, Max, must save the galaxy from an ancient evil hell-bent on enslaving all sapient life with dark magic — all the while navigating a complicated love life and trying to find her place in the universe. With a disco-and new-wave-inspired score, Transgender Stillborn is sure to have you tapping your feet, laughing your ass off and — maybe — crying, too.

The cast features Jared Milian as Max, Ali Gleason as Nara, Michael Gioia as Roach, Tyler Cicardo as Brother Carl, Joe Marx as Ben, Lyle Dungee as The Great Evil, Jenna Fagan as Boss Cass, Will K. Carey as Dax and Erik Schneider as Florp. Rounding out the ensemble are Dale Given, Anna Lovallo, Rachel Phelan, Jillian Jalal Hanna, Sean Ulmer, Anne Marie Snyder and Robert Firkser. Brianne Theocharides will read stage directions.

The creative team also includes Peter Nictakis (stage management), Ian Wehrle (sound design), Christopher Kaminski (additional orchestrations), Stephen Kaminski (demo production) and Bryan Hansen and Paul Heaney (additional demo production).

Surflight Theatre is located at 201 Engleside Avenue in Beach Haven, NJ.
