(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- After selling out their April 17th
PRIVATES show in Red Bank NJ, Williams Honor have been asked to perform as a special added feature on
Wednesday April 22 at the house they grew up in, the legendary Stone Pony. Asbury Park’s newest modern country act will go on at 8pm, right before Nashville recording artists
Old Dominion who will be touring stadiums this summer with country superstar
Kenny Chesney.
After writing, recording and spending a lot of time working in Nashville last year, Williams Honor is poised to show the world what ‘country by the sea’ really means. Since the release of their debut single Mama Please in January, they have been warming up by touring the East Coast in support of their upcoming album, gaining lots of visibility, press, and radio support along the way.
Upon confirming their appearance, Kyle Brendle, the Stone Pony’s house promoter stated, "Gordon and Reagan are longtime Asbury Park favorites, so much great history with them here, and now together as Williams Honor, it’s as real as it gets. They’re living and breathing their music with a true passion that totally moves you. We’re excited to see modern country music finally having some deeper roots along the Jersey Shore.”
Brown and Richards, separately, do have quite a history with the Pony stage and have been waiting patiently for the right time to come back and perform with their new act. Every one of Brown’s former bands were all signed out of The Stone Pony before going on to national attention by touring and recording for major labels. His last band, HWY9 is still the only group out of Asbury Park to ever obtain a record deal with a major country label in Nashville (RCA Nashville).
Gordon and Reagan are looking forward to that next bolt of lightning striking down as they launch their new band.
