(UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, a farce by Christopher Durang, will be presented by Studio Playhouse in Upper Montclair from June 3 through June 10. Durang takes characters and themes from Chekhov and tosses them into a blender filled with sibling rivalry and affection (though you don’t have to be a Chekov scholar to understand the humor). The utterly hilarious and occasionally touching result is his latest play set in present day Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Directed by Amy Fox and stage managed by Samantha Silver, performances are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm from June 3 through June 18. Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors; discounts available for groups of 20 or more that prepay.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.studioplayhouse.org/tickets or by calling 973-744-9752. Studio Playhouse is located at 14 Alvin Place, off Valley Road near the Acme, in Upper Montclair.
