This delightful Cole Porter musical tells the story of the production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and about the conflict on and off-stage between Fred Graham, director, producer, and star of the show, and his leading lady, his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi. Another romantic plot involves Lois Lane, the actress who will play Bianca, and her gambler boyfriend, Bill, who runs afoul with some gangsters. Among the songs are "Another Openin' Another Show"; "Wunderbar"; "So in Love"; "I Hate Men"; "Too Darn Hot"; "From this Moment On"; and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare".
The cast includes a wonderful combination of continuing and new Guild members: Kerry Dunn (Fred/Petruchio); Catherine Watson (Lilli/Kate); Sivan Kaynar Kissinger (Lois/Bianca); Dan Giordano (Bill/Lucentio); Joann Moldt (Hattie); Neil Kahn and Chris Thorn (gangsters); Javier Stevens (Paul); Dana Kemp (Rachel); Steve Stravinski (Harry/Baptista); Tom Jeszeck (Gen.
