(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Nick Clemons Band makes a stop at The Saint in Asbury Park on Friday, October 12th before getting ready for a tour of the Southeast. The band is led by The Big Man's oldest son, Nick on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. He's joined by Timmy Douglas on bass, Joe Barker on guitar, Joey Stann on saxophone, Nick Benitez on trumpet, Eric Gonzalez on drums and keyboard player Jake Hughes.
Based in Asbury Park, the band has been performing at venues across the country mixing rock, funk, jazz, R&B, and pop styles into an original uplifting sound that always gets the crowd on it's feet. The band's driving sound is all it's own - a high-energy mix of funk, soul, jazz, and R&B with an edge. "The most important thing to me," Clemons says ,"is to get a warm feeling from a crowd, that juice or electricity that makes you want to give more." The band's latest release, "No Worries" features a commanding saxophone solo by Nick's father.
The show at the Saint starts at 9pm and admission is $10. The Saint is located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park, NJ.

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Friends of Clearwater (NJFC) has announced that they are returning to Asbury Park on Labor Day Weekend August 31 and September 1, 2024 for their 49th Annual NJ Clearwater Festival. The celebration of the environment with music, song and information about how to protect it is the state's largest eco-festival. Hours are 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday.
